lmao Lynch as GM has the potential to be Matt Millen all over again.

Well if reports are correct Shanahan had to be ok with Lynch. Wow. I'm thinking Lynch is mainly gonna be about finding defensive talent and Shanahan will have more say on the offensive talent.

Then hire him as a scout. An NFL GM in 2017 has to have a lot more than just an eye for talent.

I don't care! If prince kyle wanted him then whatever. Jed probably saved a couple grand vs. Hiring a real gm

Kyle Shanahan is a punk ass biiiiiiiiitch

Sean McVay is the new NFC West dreamboat

Basketball is the superior sport and the NBA is starting to be the superior league.

If you haven't noticed, we are now doing it.

Well, that hire is out of left field... Not going to shit on it right away, because it could turn out good. But certainly unexpected.

Will kas ever see a playoff win under Stafford

Matthew Stafford wasn't worth the #1 pick, Mark Sanchez is better

Matthew Stafford can't stay healthy

The 2011 season was an anomaly he just threw it up to Megatron

Matthew Stafford will not lead the Lions to the playoffs

Matthew Stafford is not clutch in the 4th quarter

Calvin Johnson retired, who is Stafford going to throw the ball to?

Matthew Stafford can't win a playoff game

Matthew Stafford can't win a Super Bowl

It's next on the list.

You said they were good enough to be in the Super Bowl. He wasn't injured for 4 of those games against playoff teams and lost each one. I doubt they beat any one of the NFC teams in the playoffs, even if healthy.

Stafford was hurt those last four games against the Giants, Cowboys, Packers and then Seahawks.

If he's healthy it's a totally different game but he was not. The roster still has some holes to be filled through the draft and free agency but I think we win at least one of those four games if he's healthy.

Um...what?

SF is hiring Hall-of-Fame candidate and FOX analyst John Lynch as GM, sources tell ESPN. Lynch back to Bay Area, where he went to Stanford.

49ers are giving John Lynch an almost unprecedented six-year deal to become their GM, per sources.

Unless I'm missing something, Lynch has never had any personnel/executive experience at all since retiring.

49ers are about to go 0-16 and then draft Lamar Jackson first overall and go 0-16 again and Shanahan and Lynch are getting fired.

You heard it here first.

The 49ers is what happens when you you hand a kid from the billionaire sperm club the keys to a franchise at early age who doesn't know shit about running a one. Dude still paying fired coaches...

Does Lynch have any scouting or front office experience? Yeesh that could be Matt Millen bad. I wouldn't wish that on any franchise.

Can't argue with results!

Stafford being .500 in a season against winning teams probably belongs on that list. Otherwise kas, you're doing it.

What are the odds of Stafford matching TJ Yates or Brock in number of playoff wins before he retires?

FACTS

If Steve Bannon can head the National Security Council then John Lynch deserves the GM job. Thank you 9ers for becoming the new face of dysfunction in the NFL. Rest of the teams in the division applaud this move by the way. Common sense says poach someone from one of the successful teams but fuck those alternative facts.

Thankfully we have won 5 superbowls. Sorry browns :(

We have 5 chips too but fuck history amirite? Y'all also have a 2 and 14 season this year as well.

Let's get back to talking about the dysfunctional present day 49ers:

Fire Chip and Baalke cleaning house after one season.
Hire John Lynch who lacks any NFL experience in personnel.

The Seahawks, Cards, and Rams think this is the best move of the offseason applaud the 9ers courage in taking a chance switching things up. What could go wrong?
