This explains a bunch. Rumors in the NO media has been that Payton had had enough of Breaux because he wouldn't practice with just a contusion. That is why they decided to cut bait and shop him around. It would explain why Breaux was refusing to practice and why the Saints were so pissed about it

I really don't know what to think here.

I do think black males get lack of sympathy from the public in large in such situations and thus are huge marks there. However athletes are usually exempt from that.

The NFL really stabbed the NFLPA and all Elliot sympathizes in the face.

I mean, they are pretty spot on about that statement. People on the receiving end of this stuff commonly spread derogatory information about accusers. It's a negative thing. I don't know if it's egregious or not in this case, or if it's actually from the NFLPA, but I kinda agree with the sentiment generally.

Race is definitely at play here. The domestic violence stuff is one thing ( one very big thing) but the NFL positioned the letter regarding Zeke's punishment as being as much a statement on his overall conduct and image, yet Gronk out here hanging out with porn stars on Instagram, telling racist jokes at roasts, and hosting orgy cruises and nobody bats an eye.

On the other hand, Elliott really does seem like a stupid piece of shit so it's harder to feel sympathy for his situation.

Never knew about the racist joke stuff with Gronk (expected from a Patriot), but I think the thing here is that it's a pattern of conduct toward women paired with domestic violence that's the issue. Gronk isn't beating women up.

AFAIK nothing Gronk has done has gotten the police involved. That is what the root of the NFL's issue is. Zeke keeps finding himself in bad situations where the police end up being involved. They would prefer that not to happen.

On my way to work this morning I was sitting in traffic and a woman slammed into the back of my car. I took out a home loan 2 weeks ago and bought a new Toyota Sienna with part of the money. In the 2 weeks of owning it someone put a huge crack in the windshield while it was parked and now someone else smashed up the back of it. The worst part was when the cop showed up the woman tried to say it wasn't her fault because she was distracted by the man in the car next to her texting. My back is killing me and I have a pounding headache, I feel like such an old today.

Obviously they will take the knee after they run down the clock and beat the Pats Sunday for the 2nd game pre-season championship.
