your coaching staff came up with a great gameplan. there is no way you are in this game at all without that great playcalling overall. a shame for flynn that it came down to that but it is really hard to blame him for that last sequence of plays. however, he will be remembered for just fucking up (whether it's his fault or not)

Absolutely. McCarthy deserves a A in spite of this. But to end it like that...something that seems so simple even when he did amazing work the rest of the game....fuck.

Just a baffling and frustrating way to end a game that we had no right to win anyway.

Also the game swung when the Packers inexplicably let that linebacker get a clear shot at Flynn for that sack. That last timeout is too valuable with this much time left to allow a sack like that.

Good job Baluga, your a hell of a blocker.

i was up in the air about anthony davis vs. baluga going into the draft, and after seeing baluga play a few times this year i guess i'm ok with davis. anthony davis struggled alot the first half of the season but he has really steadied the last few weeks.

we need to move him to LT next year. he's only 20 and still learning to be properly conditioned and build up his strength. move joe staley to RT where he was very good as a rookie.

When allowing 26 points is a game you crow about for your defense....is it really worth engaging that person in discussion?

I am not saying our defense is #1 quality like the Packers, but they make stops when it counts. Not really sure where the snarky reply is coming from.

So, you said we'd see what it's like to have a quarterback who doesn't get to sit and learn a gameplan for three years.

After playing the annointed 2010 Super Bowl champs with a QB who was thrown into the fire.....I really don't see what you are complaining about.

Great game. GB you did amazing, its a very painful loss but one where your team showed up.

Packers 0-6 in games 4 points or less this season. I guess it isn't just Rodgers the whole team is full of chokers in close games. :D

That's a nice way of saying "our offense continually bails us out so we can win if we get one or two fluky stops"

:lol you realize two wins and we're in right? of course you don't...
youre not beating the giants cause they'll be up for it after today's embarrassment

not beating Chicago with that offense and rodgers

matt flynn is a future vikings hall of famer after this year

Matt Flynn played great, I am surprised this was close.

That said, thankfully we got some help from other teams this week, and we still control our own destiny.

you still lost bro! we've had plenty of games where alex smith or troy smith or shaun hill or whoever look good for a game or two! lucky roll of the dice that flynn had one of the good games tonight! if he plays again this year you guys will probably get stomped out now that teams have some more footage on him. plus you guys have a better coaching staff than we have had since 2002 :D

I love that you never stop making excuses for the train wreck of the 49ers. stand by your incompetent man, FMT.

Our largely third string team is contending with your starters for the division.
Why doesn't that phase you?

But yes our backups' backups are chokers.

it's real talk!

what will your excuse be for another disappointing packers season? oh wait, injuries. yeah that's it! hall of fame talent like nick barnett and.... jermichael finley and.... tauscher... and some other guys!

Hey guys, just got back from Vegas... what did I miss?

*checks STL and SEA scores*

They both lost, time to put on the trollface and make the playoffs at 7-9. Feelsgoodman.

*checks GB and NE score*

WHAT THE FUCK? Dan Connolly with a 71 yard kick off return?

Matt Flynn with 3 td's?

Man, I must have missed a fucking insane game.

Oh, and this is advance congratulations to all Bears fans if you win tomorrow; enjoy the NFC North title, and thanks for bringing some life back to the Pack-Bears rivalry.

I'm posting now because there's no way I'm going to waste my time posting during your shitty little game tomorrow :lol

I went over to my parents house for dinner and even my SISTER was talking crap about the Giants game. Tomorrow at work is going to be hell.

Hey now. Our special teams are the chokers. Have you seen them in the last 2 minutes of halves?

There isn't any straw in san francisco so how are you building this man??

Never made an excuse once my man. keep pretending though. I guess if I were you I'd cry about poor coaching, players not being ready to play or guys being thrown into the fray without having time to learn the playbook.

thank god I'm not you! Packers have simply found ways to win. Sign of a terribly mediocre team.

I went for a walk and ate large amounts of Subway sandwiches. I think the food coma and killing people online has taken away the numb feeling I have. Also that vid of that dude breaking his monitor by putting it into a wall helped.

Finally checking fantasy playoffs. Made the finals, guaranteed $1,000. Plus the Brewers got Greinke.

Not that terrible of a day all in all.

I know Im repeating myself but Im still trying to decipher it.

You call a timeout with what...26 seconds left because of the sack. Mike McCarthy has Flynn on the sideline. You have no timeouts left. You have 26 seconds left. 26 seconds...and zero timeouts. You called your last timeout and have time to go over the situation. If Flynn completes a pass in the field of play the time keeps running. Doesn't that mean you need to have a play call for him already if that situation arises so he doesn't need to huddle the offense and get a call from the sideline? Isn't that a realistic possibility that you'll complete a pass in the field of play? Im just trying to understand his (lack of) thinking.

Beyond that...isn't someone on our OLine aware of this fact? Our WRs? Any veteran that could help out a QB who's starting his first game? Why are they with their back to the LOS waiting for a play in a moving clock situation with not TOs left? Did noone recognize what was going on? No

That's got to be one of the most baffling endings to a game I've ever seen. What a deflating way to end it.

Nothing beats being in NY to watch the Pats lose the '07 Super Bowl and then flying back home with everyone around me in Giants gear. You'll be okay bro.

I just wanted to say good luck Oakland. We're all counting on you.

Someone help me out here

The last possession of the game, couldn't Flynn spiked the ball and try to reorganize the team?

sure, he could have organizedthe post game handshake after spiking the ball on 4th down.
