I need a Charger win tonight if for no other reason than to continuing to put pressure on the Jets and their fans that call in on WFAN.

For Sunday need a GB loss (what's the word on A-Rodge?), a TB loss, and an Eagle loss. That would be splendid. :D

Why do you need a retractable roof on a stadium in LA?

I was wondering the same thing.

He's not practicing this week and they will decide on Saturday if he is going to play. I'd feel pretty safe saying that he won't be playing :(

I'm rooting for you guys! If for some reason the Bears lose the division to the Pack, our head to head against the Eagles will be extremely important for the wildcard! Since we lost to the Giants, you guys need to take the division and stay out of the wildcard race.

Don't lose Giants!

Rodgers is a SATURDAY decision.

I'm hoping that he doesn't play, gets some rest, and somehow the Vikings beat the Bears.

That would be splendid. Not holding my breath.

So I guess the sideline wall is a Patriots thing, there's film that will be coming out, and he taught it to Mangini that was taught to the coaches with the Jets.
Is there anything Belichek hasn't accounted for? How did he not have an airtight alibi + interference for his (filmed) MILF hunts? Can somebody here get this guy audited?

Wait who the fuck cares if people make a wall on the sideline? There's no rule against where to stand/how to stand, it's the fact that the douchebag tripped someone that has everyone up in arms. The Jets are just trying to take the attention away from that.

damn son, why it gotta be like that? jets fans all running up the sideline, you all stickin your knee out and shit.

TEAM TURMOIL FULL EFFECT! Sanchez hinting people in the organization may be losing faith in him and then Bart Scott denies any rift between defense and offense by more or less saying:

paraphrase said:
Come on, man. I played with Kyle Boller for 8 years. Ain't no rift then, ain't none now.

somehow, i don't think this makes Sanchez feel better. :lol

Great, just what I need another knicks bandwagoner mucking up the NBA thread. If you ask me how much a shot behind the arc is Welli ... I'll kill you.
I'm a Knicks lifelong. How much is a shot before the midfield line?

It's not about you or the team. The Jets have dominated NY radio airwaves all season, if it's easy peasy and no stress, daytime sports radio is boring and I struggle through work. :lol

We did make it to the playoffs last year. Also Woody spent a ton of money on the team this year + hard Knox. Can you imagine Hard Knox with the Giants? It would start with 30 minutes of Eli making faces at a camera.

Just bring back Culpepper for 1 more go. Everyone wants it.

I know Slash still thinks he can play in the NFL (shudder) so why not? Hate to say it but Daunte would probably also make it to the field for the Panthers or Cardinals right now. :lol

Presumptive at best. Coughlin stated at todays press conference that Smith is expected to make a full recovery but will likely be limited like Kenny Phillips during the off-season. The team will sign him. I'm not concerned. The Giants organization is more than fair in these types of situations and Smith knew that when he didn't kick up a fit for a contract earlier in the year.

Guess I'm a Chargers fan tonight.

If the Saints have to travel for a wildcard game (and I'm guessing that they will), I'd prefer it to be in our timezone.. and in a dome.

WTF is going on in Minnesota. I have Sidney Rice on my fantasy, my backup WRs for the playoffs are not that great, its some dude from the Raiders that gets many zeros. Who is going to be the QB, Webb? Do you Vikings fans know anything about him? Then there is the weather, they might play outside against the Bears. Will it be snowing on Monday? Probably too early to tell. This has disaster written all over it. Vikings fans you know your team better, what say you?

Kind of feel like the Chargers are the only team that can hang with NE offensively, they have to make the playoffs or NE's a shoe in for the SB.

I think NE would crush them, Chargers will beat themselves early in that game and never recover.

New England is the one team that has their number.

The one team that I think can hang with NE is the Ravens. They have the best shot of downing them, provided their offense shows up.

Traitor!

Don't let the door hit you on your way out to Ravensville.

Not a Vikings fan, but it's still not even a lock to play in Minnesota, apparently. ESPN claims the Georgia dome is under consideration? (If it does go in Min, the temp is going to be stupidly low).

As another Sidney Rice owner I agree, it's a big WTF. On the plus side it seems he's good for basically 5 catches / 10 targets no matter who throws the ball, so he may still be a better shot than your other options. The trouble is, he got two TDs and a lot of yards out of Tarvaris, so you'd need Brett to actually sling the football downfield to get something similar there.

Oh shut up.

You know that I want nothing better than for the Steelers to march into Foxborough, cut off Brady's head and show it to all of Boston.

Webb is a massive project and is not ready to see the field. He is an absurdly gifted athlete and he was drafted as a WR conversion, but apparently he's got a such a laser-rocket arm that we left him there. Regardless, he's going to get blitzed relentlessly and is not likely going to be very successful in bad weather.

He's more likely to tuck the ball and run than throw from the pocket, but there's a good chance that we might take a couple of deep shots off of PA with him.

Being from NE and having Manning as your starting QB in a Fantasy Footbal championship game sucks. I really want the Colts to lose as I don't want the Pats to have to face them again but I also need Manning to have a great game. Son of a bitch!!

Both can happen my friend. Maning will throw 3 TD's but throw an int to lose the game believe.

Chargers wouldn't stand a chance. All you have to do to beat them is blitz like a motherfucker. Yeah, this will open up that drag route they love so much, but Rivers isn't content with throwing what he is given all game long. He'll look for that long shot all day and it will never come if the pressure is in his face before the routes develop. The Pats held them to 3 points in 3 quarters last time and they're a better offensive and defensive team now.

As odd as it sounds, I think the teams that will challenge them will be the Ravens and Colts... if the Colts make it.

Did you see the first IND @ HOU game? Manning can be perfect and Colts can still lose. Our D is declawed.

Fantasy Playoffs question time I need to start one WR, one RB and a flex in a PPR league out of:

Floyd (Questionable) vs San Fran Tonight
Forte @ Vikings Monday night outside on the UofM field
Fred Jackson at Miami
Mike Williams (TB) home vs Detroit
Jeremy Maclin at the Giants

Leaning Maclin, Fred Jackson and Williams. Floyd is Questionable if not I would start him, dunno about his injury status up until game time tonight and whether or not Vincent Jackson/Naanee are playing either. Forte's playing condition frightens me, he sucks but is servicable in PPR, but below 0 in the UofM stadium has me worried.

My Other league, Starting one:

LT vs Steelers
Mendenhall vs Jets
Lynch vs Falcons

Eagles D vs Giants, or KC D vs rams?

Right now I'm leaning on Mendenhall vs Jets. Lynch only really had two good fantasy games all year, and the Steelers D + LT's split time is more menacing than Mendenhall's split and Jets D.

Kidding me dude? I would play always play the D going against the Giants. They are good for 3 turnovers a game, every game. Only had two against Min and one against WAS though so we are due for four or five on Sunday. Gotta figure one of them goes back for 6.

I know you love the Steelers, but it wouldn't kill you to say it once in awhile!

Gotta keep the faith friend. In the NFL anything is possible. Harison has gone 2 games without getting flagged and maybe Ben will get a call for a late hit one day!

Rivers is one of the least blitzed QBs in the NFL, his completion percentage drops a bunch vs the blitz but based on last year he nabs more TDs against the blitz than a traditional rush (which is expected, a good QB should torch a blitz more often that not). Their OL is pretty average, nothing special, and a hypothetical match up would be interesting.

Pats are a more of coverage based D, have been for a few years, they don't blitz as often as they used to. Against the Steelers they blitzed 22 times, most since 2006, realistically most teams would have a high blitz count against the Steelers. Second most was 20 against the immobile Palmer, followed by 13 against the Bills.

It's obvious by now that I don't think much of the Ravens, defense isn't very good and they've barely won against "lower level" competition. Steelers are too banged up, can't count them out but it's an uphill battle when J.Scott is your starting LT.

AFC is looking weaker every week. Can't wait for 18 game season, 4th string players everywhere!

Yea, Ravens can beat the Pats because Ngata can dominate their interior Oline and getting consistent pressure up the middle is the best way to shut down Brady.

I figured that ol' Bill would figure it out before the game. No one sticks with the blitz against Rivers, but the few that do are successful. That said, they don't have to blitz if they just keep safety help over the top. Their run game is highly overrated and I think their front seven can keep it in check. They've been faring much better against the run lately.

I didn't bring up the Steelers because I don't think they have a shot against the Pats. If the Steelers don't meet the Pats in the playoffs, I think they'll be favorites. They can beat any other team.

The Ravens' defense isn't great, but it always gives Brady fits besides that one anomaly in the 2009 reg season. The "lower level" team that they played against isn't "lower level" because of their offense. The Texans have a good offense. That's not their problem. And you know this is more about matchups than X team can beat Y team so that means Z team is better than Y because they can beat X team. The Raiders can shit all over the Chargers, but that doesn't mean they stand a chance against the Colts next week.

So when is Sexy Rexy going to be fired?

I was thinking about this a few days ago, actually. He's going to get the axe because he's going to take the heat for his crappy qb. I don't think he'll get fired because of all the bs that's going on with NJ/b, but it'll be part of the excuse. Hopefully, this occurs in the next few years so the Steelers can bring him in as DC when LeBeau retires.

Niners secondary gonna get lit up tonight :lol

P-Willie and TKO playing with broken hands tonight though..................beasts!!!
