I was thinking about this a few days ago, actually. He's going to get the axe because he's going to take the heat for his crappy qb. I don't think he'll get fired because of all the bs that's going on with NJ/b, but it'll be part of the excuse. Hopefully, this occurs in the next few years so the Steelers can bring him in as DC when LeBeau retires.
Why would you fire Rex again? That's Schottys job.

"I was just sort of overwhelmed by the comments that our competitors had to say about our team, because it had never happened before like this," McNair said. "They were all, frankly, pulling for us after the way we came back... They just said it was just one of the most impressive comebacks they had ever seen. What was interesting was they didn't talk about the overtime. They didn't talk about the interception. All they could talk about was the comeback. They could just not believe it.

"The level of respect that they have for our team and how close they think we are to really being not just a good team but an outstanding team, it was nice to hear your peer group say that about you. So I just wanted the team to know how close not only we think they are, but how close our competitors think they are, to being an outstanding team.

Well no shit they root for your team you stupid fuck, it's one less team that they have to compete against for the playoffs. "Hey Bob, that was a swell game. Your guys were so close. Stay the course"

How does this guy still have any money? How hasn't he wasted it all on some magic beans?

Going to the game tonight. If it is anything less than domination, we are not going to fare well if we make the playoffs.

does it make you sad that the above man or Jason Campbell will probably overtake you for the AFC West crown?

If Joe Webb is the starting quarterback, the Bears would be smart to put in Todd Collins to hand the ball off 80 times instead of risking injury to Cutler from what I understand is going to be a huge sheet of ice.

Or hey...leave him in...what's the worst that could happen?

I still think Rodgers will likely play this Sunday which, I admit, is based on zero first hand evidence. I'm not saying my heart will be broken if he doesn't play. I think at this point the least we can hope for is that Flynn surely has made some kind of progress in the last week working with the first string. The Patriots defense is probably just as good as the Lions defense so this should be an interesting game for a little while anyway.

Fantasy Playoffs question time I need to start one WR, one RB and a flex in a PPR league out of:

Floyd (Questionable) vs San Fran Tonight
Fred Jackson at Miami
Jeremy Maclin at the Giants

This would be my guess. PPR isn't my speciality, but if Floyd plays I'd lean to this, with Forte otherwise.

My Other league, Starting one:

Mendenhall vs Jets
Eagles D vs Giants

It's the Jets...but this is the Steelers. And Eagles can make some turnovers happen, especially after what we saw out of Eli last time...

Kind of feel like the Chargers are the only team that can hang with NE offensively, they have to make the playoffs or NE's a shoe in for the SB.

I kind of agree. Keep the D out there and hang some points on them, think the Chargers O can do that. Their problems though are special teams and the good ol Norv factor. Don't see the Ravens doing it. Brady would cut the tired Raven D to shreds and Flacco ain't going to pull a game out like a Rivers or Manning could.

I don't know why he would, everyone is dejected after losing to the Lions.
MM seems like he's packing it in and playing it safe.

A-Rod got fucked up. I'd rather him call it a season if it means protecting his future.

The only people who deny the ravens ability to beat the patriots are bitter steeler fans. Who gave the new look patriots their only test this season?? Ravens, Browns, Chargers. don't be mad cuz they blew you out on prime time tv

Lebeau will die our DC.

I think they pose the biggest threat but any combination of them, the Steelers, Ravens and Indy back to back is far from an easy task. I wonder if the Pats win the next 2 games that they totally lay down if it could potentially mean Miami making the playoffs over the Jets.

That's when the Patriots were struggling horribly.
I can play better Quarterback than Joe Flacco.

The Ravens would get blown out by the Patriots right now and I hate that ugg boot wearing motherfucker and his coach Bill Beelzebub.

So is Crabtree a bust? David Carr sucked but AJ still put up numbers.
Dude can't catch, he's more apt to hit a ball into the air for an interception (did this with both White and Black Smiths) then he is of catching it.

Should have played Volleyball. I hope he over comes this, I dunno what his problem is, :lol

Gave up 400 yards of offense and had a blown 10 point 4th quarter lead...and that was when the Pats were "bad". Yeah, that was impressive...it's ok, Steelers keep grabbing rings on the backs of Raven carcasses, I'd be upset too.

Schottenheimer is probably gone after the season with all the heat he's taking, but it's not like the next guy is going to magically make Sanchez worth a shit.

He's 73. He's not going to pull a Paterno.

Can't stand him and he is a very big Jets hater, so I am not surprised by this. :lol

Haha, I know. It's fun to get props though.

Did they just report Malcolm Floyd will be inactive?

I think he will. Paterno's only 10 years older and Lebeau looks to be in much better shape.

How were the pats bad when they played the ravens chargers and browns??? They had the same exact team. It's proven fact that the ravens are fourth quarter chokers. That doesn't change their match up advantages against the pats and I hope we go through foxboro and Heinz field in the playoffs just to shut you guys up

The Jets have had the same exact team all season but they won 3-4 games they should've lost.

It's not about who you play it's about when you play them and how they're performing as a unit.

Momentum is a powerful thing.

Yeah. Every team plays at the same level at all times in a football season. It's such a predictable sport.

So the giants slowin down Vick wasn't predictable?? That ass whipping in the first round last year followed by the colts curb stomping us in the next round wasn't predictable?? Matchups dont lie I kno my team I'm no delusional fan and I know we are one of the few teams that can beat them

Hey guys; quick FF question.

Of these 3 which 2 would you start?

Brandon Jacobs (PHI)
Ray Rice (NO)
Adrian Peterson (CHI)

I'm thinking about benching AP after the stinker he put up. I just don't know...

400 yards of offense, and 27 points. I hope they slow him down that much on Sunday.

What, is this a start only one RB league?

Rice if you want guaranteed 10-12pts but no touchdown. Peterson gives you tremendous upside but could also stall out at 50 yards.

I'd still go AP.

Rodgers is a SATURDAY decision.

I'm hoping that he doesn't play, gets some rest, and somehow the Vikings beat the Bears.

That would be splendid. Not holding my breath.

The Lions choke job really screwed up your season. Even with Rodgers the Packers will probably still lose the game. If your band of chokers who can't win a close game could have held on against the Lions could have rested Rodgers this week and ultimately the Pats game wouldn't have meant anything. Packers could have had the Giants and Bears at home the final two weeks and make their way to the playoffs on their own. Now they need big time help.

I think the Ravens can beat the Pats, but I don't think it has anything to do with last year. Teams are very different now, adding Boldin really helps the Ravens a lot. McCourty has turned into a really good player but Kyle Arrington is trash, they really miss Bodden and Meriweather has taken a step back.

Naw, I asked which 2 I should start.

I really want to start Jacobs because of Philly's run D, but the other two its a toss up.

Ok then definitely Peterson. Believe me, I run Jacobs in the GAF money league. Rice will give you some guaranteed points, but unless it's PPR Peterson is likely to match or exceed it. Rice has what, a 10% chance of a touchdown?

That's the best description I've seen about this team in awhile.

And yes we do need help. It's very disappointing.

By the by screw the Vikings and their 50 year anniversary. NFL should not back them in their quest to play the Monday Night game at TCF Bank. Field won't be ready. It will be a danger to players on it. Move the game to Indy. I thought the league office was all about player safety?

Snow Dragon won't save the field. :lol

Any team can beat the Pats if they play bad and the other team plays good. That's how it works in the NFL. Save the BS about predicting shit in the NFL. You wouldn't be in this thread you would be too busy spending all that money you made betting on it.

That's weird b/c he had great hands at TTU. He did have a big catch in the first STL game, though.

The seahawks have the ugliest logo in the nfl. damn

I disagree. While I do hate that neon green uni, their logo ain't that bad.

1)Jets - looks like a college design student did it
2)Bills - flying drumstick or cauliflower
3)Titans - cool T bro
4)Browns - photo not available
