Ok, so after today's results (before the Sunday and Monday night games, obviously) I have the following NFC playoff seedings forecasted based on the remaining games left to be played:

1st Seed - Falcons (14-2)
2nd Seed - Eagles (12-4)
3rd Seed - Bears (11-5)
4th Seed - Seahawks (7-9) (they get the tiebreaker over Rams, who also go 7-9, because they go 4-2 in divsion while Rams go 3-3 in division)
5th Seed - Saints (11-5)
6th Seed - Packers (10-6) (they get the tiebreaker over the Giants, who also finish 10-6, because they win their lone head to head match vs Giants)

So first round games would be:

Packers @ Bears
Saints @ Seahawks

If Aaron Rodgers can't go next week, than I might change my mind and pick Giants to win over the Packers.

Also, in the first round, I think I would pick both the away teams to win (Packers over Bears, Saints over Seahawks), leaving the round 2 matchups as:

Packers @ Falcons
Saints @ Eagles

for some reason you've assumed that the rams will beat the 49ers next weekend. if this was a regular 7 day preparation period for the niners i might be with you. but when you give mike singletary NINE DAYS to prepare for an opponent!? wow. i can't even fathom what type of diabolical concoctions mike singletary can come up with. adios rams! hello division title for the niners!

Is any Dolphins fan in favor of keeping Dan Henning? He has to be bottom 3 in play calling and game planning. Too many throws against a terrible rush defense. Too many predictable calls. Time to send him packing.

Fuck it. I hate the rule, but that's all well and good. My problem (unlike most people here) is not the rule. The problem was that it was called wrong. It was not a tuck. He had two hand on the ball. Also, it was OVERTURNED. Meaning they thought they had conclusive evidence to change that either way? Bullshit. And what was that phone call about anyway? smh

qft. the rule was applied wrongly.

I am picking Packers over Bears the last game of the season (Packers are playing at home). :)

Fair enough. The Bears could technically lose their last 3 games and miss the playoffs. So I am being just a bit optimistic. 2-1 seems like a fair balance.

What are your AFC projections?

:lol

I have heard that Singletary plans to dress for the game.

is it just me or does deion sanders play the race card in every argument that involves a black guy? i was watching the pre-game for the niners vs. chargers and he brings up "as an african american head coach, how does this affect you?" in his interview with singletary. and then bringing up that singletary didn't get his fair shake because he's black. then i'm hearing him comment on this donovan mcnabb situation and basically downplaying grossman saying it's because the cowboys defense is horrible after saying mcnabb never should have been benched.

i've seen other things like this with his whole commentary on crabtree when that stuff was going down, with vick, etc. it's not that i necessarily give a shit but i just get the vibe that he's always trying to play the race angle

The Tuck rule game was the Super Bowl of that year. If the Raiders won they were going all the way. Only reason the Raiders lost to the Bucs was because dipfuck head coach didn't change the play names and the Gruden-led Bucs thus new all the plays. Stupid. Long live the Gannon Raiders, in memory at least.
You mean against the record setting rams that year? :lol :lol

Seriously that wasn't the sb. The steelers were decent that year as well.

Him keeping his pants on would be an improvement.

singletary has two pants dropping speeches:

"They're kicking our asses!"

"They're beating us off the line everytime!"

time to bust out the 2nd one for this game against the rams!

Since St Vince gave us an early Christmas present, this game isn't a must win by any means. At this point the Packers are playing with house money against the Pats. Hopefully the team plays loose and gives it their best instead of pushing.

I mentioned it earlier, but my trip to Lombardi's grave was great. It's literally 10 minutes from my house in Jersey and I go there probably once in a year, usually around this time. Probably seems a bit creepy but he's a personal inspiration for me based on his background and his struggles. Means a lot to me and it's a big reason for my feverish Packer love. Our tradition is unlike any other.

He helped us out with the early games... I feel some more Lombardi magic in a half hour! Go Pack GO!

not before i bang her. mmmmm ever since seeing those DT's (delicious titties) in about schmidt i can't resist

I couldn't even make it that far into that atrocious movie. So sad.

Fuck you, Goodell. By expanding rosters, you're admitting that the injuries will increase and that the safety of the players is at risk. It completely fucks with your bullshit argument where you equate pre-season games with regular season games. Go fuck yourself.

eznark said:
just gotta stay healthy buckethead, that is the goal. no more injuries

Yea, thats why I hope after today's results nobody goes out there and strains too hard. Just play the game. A win is gravy...but not needed. Just need to be prepared for the next two games.

Dont get me wrong...a win would be huge. But if you win this and injure the healthy half of this team the season is over.

I take it you're not as excited for the eventual Rams-Raiders Super Bowl as I am?

Goodell would announce a lockout before the game in the name of national security as that Super Bowl would be so bad the whole world would align with Al-Qaeda against the US.
