The Eagles played a very good game last week but that didn't help them today. The Colts looked awesome two weeks ago against the Giants but that didn't help them today. It's pure homerism to assume that the Cowboys are going to start dominating just because they had one good game. They are in a worse position than the Giants and Redskins right now bottom line.

I can get behind this post.

Well now I just want to see the medical report. If Cutler is out for an extended period of time the season could be over. Our offensive hopes still rest completely on him.

I was more impressed with the Giants' running game than their defense.

I always knew that Bradshaw was something special but too bad the two headed attack seems to be having issues because both those backs know what they are doing.

The defense of the Giants was solid but Cutler had time several times and thought he could stand back there and double pump like a fucking fool and you saw the result.

The game surprised me in that the Bears never got anything going but the talent of the Giants didn't, they have several Pro Bowlers on that squad.

didnt get to watch the game in positano, but 9 sacks in the first half, seriously? jesus christ, cutler is going to get killed by the end of this season, our offensive line needs a major, major overhaul after this season

obviously we cant run the ball for shit, but we should be able to protect the quarterback at least, was cutler holding onto the ball too long, or did he have no chance behind our swiss cheese o-line?

appears our defense kept us in the game at 10-0 still in the 4th quarter, but i imagine we got killed on TOP, and eventually couldnt hold up by the end of the game, well cant say that im suprised at the let down after an emotional win on MNF over a division rival coming off a short week, well at least next week we got carolina

hopefully cutler passes his medical evaluations so he can play next week

A bit of both but a lot of him actually having some time and not throwing the fucking ball or taking off down the field.

On replays, it showed the Giants played very well in the secondary but there were open guys at times and Cutler seemed like all of a sudden he's afraid to throw interceptions.

Throw the ball away then or run with it.

Not saying dominating, history shows the Cowboys have played very well coming off the bye and by that I mean after their bye they seem to string together a few wins. The Cowboys are 16-5 coming off bye weeks. So I fully expect more of the same. The defense is starting to wake up and the offense is doing the same RW11 looks like he's finally doing what he should have been doing from the start. The offense has already faced Brian Orakpo, Julius Peppers and Mario Williams and Romo has been sacked just once so I'm hopeful the line can keep that going. Foster was the first RB to run for 100yds since willis mcgahee did it in 08. Last season after their bye Dallas won 5 of their 6 games. Yea sure I'm basis but its not like I'm just pulling unfounded reasons out to support my belief.

I just went out there and performed sexual favors. Six hundred and thirty-four blow jobs in five days... I'm really quite tired.

Yeah I quoted Erin Brockovich. So what, wanna fight about it?

how about you have angry sex instead of fighting.

Looks like I missed the worst game in football history. Todd Collins? Glad I was out.

*looks at schedule*

SNF next week featuring Kolb v Alexis! Sunday night chick flick with the gf confirmed.

One last Cutler pic to end the night. It's a bit better than the last one posted and since someone said it would have been better if they removed the Giants player...

Meh. No hate intended, it's just a funny image considering the type of night the poor guy had. I certainly don't wish the guy any ill will. I've seen my fair share of Manning-face images to last me a lifetime thank you very much. So alls fair in love and football.

You guys are taking it a little too far.

I hate poutface as much as the next guy but damn. That's some hateful shit.

Have to agree as that's the sort of thing reserved for someone more deserving like Tom Brady. Cutler got fucked up pretty good all told and while yeah I was cheering the sacks, I feel for him as that can't be good for his confidence, he was concussed, and might run missing out some games. There are bad games then there's this.

Football would be a lot more fun without concussions.

I would say paralysis too but that is a very rare occurence, seems like dudes get concussed every other week now.

I'm not offended by the Cutler hate though, he played as badly a half as I have ever seen(should have hit Hester on that seemingly possible TD though!!!!!!) but this shit is scary.

He could be out a week to the whole season.

Obviously nobody wants to see him hurt. Cutler is just the kind of guy that gets photographed under duress more than your average QB...and his facial expressions are hilarious.

Guys have been surprisingly responsive post-concussion this season as well so I don't see Cutler being out for an entire season. I do think that last shot Ross got on him was the cause (as he banged his head on the turf pretty damned hard) but I've seen worst hits on the QB and guys coming back pretty quickly. I'd say Jay will likely miss the next game which is pretty standard for a concussion (at least a two week recovery) and should be back the game afterwards.

All kidding aside, I agree with the sentiment that any sport in general would be better if major injuries were preventable. Both for the sake of the players and the quality of the product.

I guess so.

Also, I don't think he has had concussions before and that matters a lot.

I know they shut down Hunter Hillenmeyer for the year but he had numerous ones in his career and he never got over the symptoms.

Plus, he's a linebacker and that's even scarier.

Cutler will probably be day to day but I am in no hurry to have him back though the team's chances without him aren't promising, especially not with Todd 160 Year Vet Collins.

Hanie has a lot of talent but hasn't had the prep work under this offense.

Only sensible solution is nonstop Forte from the wildcat.

I think I <3 Memes said it best when he said it should be a Ronnie Brown-only play. Book I read says it came out to a TD 1 in 20 times when used, a first down 1 in 4, and averaged 4.6 yards per attempt so I assume there is a role for it in the NFL but personnel should be considered a bit more closely when doing so.

I was being a tad harsh but I can only speak of when the Bears use it, it seems gimmicky and actually could be successful if Forte could or would throw the ball(I am sure he can somewhat as he's a great athlete).

It should be used to keep the defense offguard and running the ball 100% the same direction isn't doing that when the Bears throw that in the playbook.

It's almost like "it's the thing to do" so the Bears use it every so often while other teams probably practice it and take it much more seriously.

You're right about the running thing last year Drizzler. But this year it's the opposite.....our run D has been great but the pass D has been awful. :/ We really need Revis back and healthy.

Surprised to see the Jets have the best point differential in the league this year so far.

good god

d beat the shit out of da bears

poor bears :(

wtf @ our offense. id say run more but bradshaw and jacobs are literally just trolling us at this point with the fumbles so i dont even fucking know

Big win for the GMEN. I'm glad the offense came alive there in the 2nd half. I was honestly thinking it was going to end like 10-6 Bears if the Giants didn't wake the fuck up.

The Falcons were very fortunate. Perhaps they have some of that luck that gets teams into the playoffs.
The offensive line was allowing pressure on Ryan most of the game. Pittsburgh did the same thing. Ryan gets pretty rattled when he has pressure. So I imagine other teams will take notice and bring the blitzes. Which means the O line needs to improve or get the running backs to pick up blitzes better. The 49ers kept the pressure off Smith most of the game. He made some mistakes which cost them a lot.

I am wondering if KC can continue the magic at Indy next week. Seems like a tall order. Peyton is going to be really pissed and will do his best to carve up their secondary.

Was listening to some DC sports radio on the way in to work today, and they said Carlos Rogers has dropped 37 picks (the skins website lists 66 pass deflections, so this number could be true). From the way it was said it sounded like it was a fact but still not sure if they were serious. :lol

FUUUU .. :(

The one play where Bradshaw ran like a madman only to have the ball stripped from him near the endzone was cringeworthy. :/

I won't be surprised if he got his bell rung a little earlier than we are suspecting. That is the only explanation I can come up with because Cutler has never been afraid to start slanging it in the face of pressure. Sometimes when you get that mild concussion early on the game becomes a little too fast for the qb and they just stand there a little too long with that confused look on their face.

So you're saying he was mildly concussed for all of last season?

When Cutler gets knocked down a lot early he always gets flustered. Not exactly the most poised individual out there.

No because he was slanging the fuck out of the ball last season and for the majority of the career. Last night he was just looking confused and kept holding onto the ball. I never knew him to be afraid to put it up for grabs.

Just a theory.

Yeah I see your point. He was definitely looking dopey, glassy eyed, and kind of out of it. Problem being that's what he always looks like so it makes it much harder to discern if it's because of a concussion or not.
