NFL Week 9 2010|OT| - Did we step into a time warp?

league office just ruled collie was a defense less receiver because he did not put down his second foot (CBS Sports). Despite the fact Collie lowered his head to defend himself.

BS

Just saw the hit, pretty dirty. Coleman had time to move his head aside, he still had his head up after collie was first hit, then lowered it. NFL has been fine happy lately and much of it seems overboard, but in this case a fine and suspension seems more than deserved.

The Jets were crying about the Lions playing dirty :lol

Replay of both of the "chop blocks" called against the Lions showed they weren't chop blocks at all.

Also, how about taking out the Lions' kicker?

Bill Cowher and Shannon Sharpe completely disagree with you, BTW. But what do those guys know

I'm agreeing with Cowher's take on it. Doesn't necessarily agree with the call but feels the Eagles player should not be fined for the result of physical play in a physical game.

That was unfortunate, but not a dirty hit.

QB put him in a spot to be killed though...

I totally disagree with you.
Cowher's response nailed it just now.

Bill Cowher is fine, but I don't know if using Shannon Sharpe as an example lends any credence to your argument.

Giants are just squatting over the Seahawks and taking a shit in their mouths now.

Next time someone makes a tackle, someone should teabag the downed guy. Just take the 15 yard penalty, the gifs will be worth it!

The man spent a fair amount of his career going down the middle and getting pounded by safeties. I would think he knows what is dirty and what isn't in that situation.

The seahawks lameduck approach to this game is starting to get to me in fantasy. The opponent has Eli and Jacobs. I have Nicks. Nicks started off nice but he's currently fizzling.

Well it seems Collie just has a concussion cause he's sitting up and alert. Also Cowher said dont fine Coleman, but I don't see how he doesn't with how the league has turned. If Manny Lawson is getting a 12.5k fine, Coleman getting something.

But here's how they backed themselves into a corner, after weeks of dolling out bullshit fines, they have to fine on this one. Otherwise, if they don't, all the other people who are appealing fines would now have a huge argument to get theirs reversed.

And if they go through with possible suspensions, what if a similar play happened in the Championship game? Is a guy going to get suspended for the Super Bowl?

It's just a stupid mess.

Didn't he also play on the Baltimore Ravens? Yeah, that dude ain't snitching. :lol :lol

Update on Collie:

Adam_Schefter:
CBS-TV just reported the Colts think WR Austin Collie suffered only a concussion, which in this case would be a good thing.
