carson palmer was pretty good until the steelers went kobra kai on him and they swept his leg at the end of the first half of that one playoff game

Actually, It comes from teams just not running on us. Almost all the Saints' "run" plays were screens.

We haven't allowed a runner to get farther than 14 yards all season.

True. You could probably say somewhat of the same thing for us. Obviously our secondary isn't as good as the Steelers but teams will pass even more if the run isn't working and they are behind.

That was 5 years ago. Maybe he was never that good to begin with...

I don't get this argument. The Steelers took out his legs, so now his arm and decision making sucks? Or did he literally think with his feet?

Well as the Browns are playing themselves out of a top pick in next year's draft at the moment, and thus unlikely to get AJ Green, what other WRs are worth watching for a 1st round pick next year? I know DE is likely to be another need with Rogers probably off and WR is a big need too and I can't see the Browns using a 2nd round pick on a WR again to go along with MoMass and Robiskie if at all possible.

This draft should be pretty deep in the WR department. Hopefully the Browns go WR or DL, which needs to get younger, in the first round.

Why is ESPN reading Lebron tweets about the Cowboys on Sportscenter? And why is he a Cowboys fan?
It's like an ESPN wet dream. I'm sure they are scrambling to find a way to have a round table discussion about the Cowboys with Favre, LeBron and Tiger Woods.

They are cutting AL Harris?! Isn't he the one who picked off Matt Hasselbeck in that playoff game after saying he was gonna score during the coin toss?! If so he's my hero!!

Carson Palmer QB USC 1 1(1) Cincinnati Bengals
Byron Leftwich QB Marshall 1 7(7) Jacksonville Jaguars
Kyle Boller QB California 1 19(19) Baltimore Ravens
Rex Grossman QB Florida 1 22(22) Chicago Bears
Dave Ragone QB Louisville 3 24(88) Houston Texans
Chris Simms QB Texas 3 33(97) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Seneca Wallace QB Iowa State 4 13(110) Seattle Seahawks
Brian St. Pierre QB Boston College 5 28(163) Pittsburgh Steelers
Drew Henson QB Michigan 6 19(192) Houston Texans
Brooks Bollinger QB Wisconsin 6 27(200) NY Jets
Kliff Kingsbury QB Texas Tech 6 28(201) New England Patriots
Gibran Hamdan QB Indiana 7 18(232) Washington Redskins
Ken Dorsey QB Miami (FL) 7 27(241) San Francisco 49ers

For reference.

Hall of Famers all around.

That might be an improvement from 2002 QB draft class:

1. David Carr
2. Joey Harrington
3. Patrick Ramsey
4. Josh McCown
5. David Garrard
6. Rohan Davey
7. Randy Fasani
8. Kurt Kittner
9. Brandon Doman
10. Craig Nall
11. J.T. O’Sullivan
12. Steve Bellisari
13. Seth Burford
14. Jeff Kelly
15. Wes Pate

I guess 2004 made up for the previous 2 yrs.

I have decided I no longer want Chucky to coach the Texans so I introduce you to my new choice:

Bring him in as Asst Head Coach-Defense and let him punch Kubiak in the face during a game. His dad can teach him how its done.:D

Yeah, Kubiak called a horribe game. He went freaking no huddle with five minutes left, when you guys were tearing us up with the run. At that point I knew we would win. Not to mention the fourth downs he went for it on, when we have been stellar at stopping the fourth down all season.

Two things on that 4 and 1:

1) Kubiak thought we needed half a yard when it was in reality almost 2 yards.

2) Why were you even running a QB sneak when you have one of the best RB's in the league this year who was torching San Diegos in the first half. Until we decided to stop running the damn ball of course.

As soon as I saw how fucking hurried they were with FIVE MINUTES LEFT I called the game. Turned to the gf and said this will either end up with a pick or Matt Schaub fumble. Some kind of turnover. And then that fourth down happens. Jesus christ, it looked like a yard and half at home, what must it have looked like on the field for one of the more immobile QB's to try for a 4th down. Damn.

But the thing is, even after that 4th down our defense had the biggest stop of the season. Stopped you guys cold, we get the ball back, and because we rush out our most trusted weapon (arguably) hes a bit slow and can't keep the ball in his hands and turns it over (Love you AJ80, cant be mad). Just piss poor management all around. If Philip Rivers and Manning can do it with scrubs (with pretty awful RB's) why can't we do it with scrubs and a GREAT RB? Notice, we give Foster the ball twice in the 4th and he gets 34 yds on ONE touch. Jesus.

Yeah, when that drive came up and we were up by two, the whole time I was praying you guys wouldn't run out the clock. The way Arian Foster had been eating us up on the ground I'm sure you guys could have and got the field goal. I was just hoping to have enough time for a drive or two. When you guys went no huddle, I was a happy man.

Edit; I think I'm remembering wrong, you guys may have been up by two at that point.

For all you guys thinking Al Harris is going to be the answer if your team claims him, you better remember he's 36. It looked like he'd lost a half step last year before he was injured. Add another year and a gruesome injury (that a 25 year would struggle to recover from quickly) and there's a real good chance he's gonna be torched city.

I think its not fair the way Mike Shannon is treating Donovan.

He's proven too many times that he's a legendary performer on the field and he should be given the bend to fit the doubt.

Sure he might throw more inceptions that before but I can't be taught that theres a better quarterback on the Redskins now.

:lol :lol

He's passed out or still drinking after last night.

I'm shocked he wasn't ordering booze from the sideline when it was all going down.

Al Harris is probably done for the rest of his career. Most players don't even make it to 36 much less ones with FIVE torn ligaments.

Not looking for an answer, looking for a non-failure at corner.

Was just about to post this. Wade is going to resign; Jerry said he would murder his family if he doesn't comply with his demands. I can't make fun of Wade anymore. It's just too sad now.
That press conference was just brutal.

Honestly I can't see him as a Asst. Its time for the other Ryan to get a Coaching job.

^I thought Ryan might get the job in Oaktown, but Al Davis went with fucking Lane Kiffin.

It has to be one of the worst draft classes in the history of football when it comes to quarterbacks.
2006 draft class was even worse:

JaMarcus Russell
Brady Quinn
Kevin Kolb
John Beck
Drew Stanton
Trent Edwards
Isaiah Stanback
Jeff Rowe
Troy Smith
Jordan Palmer
Tyler Thigpen

2004 draft class was legendary. Just from the qb's there was a Messiah, a 30 year old virgin (or however old Eli is) and a soon to be MVP. Not bad.

Kolb is a decent enough starter and is easily better than anybody on the 2003 list so far.

Also, Troy Smith is going to win Super Bowl MVP next year, so that already makes your list invalid.

The guy that couldn't keep his job against Michael Vick? And it's 1 guy that doesn't even begin to make up for the rest of the fail on that list.

Troy Smith is the next Alex Smith.

this is why I refuse to watch sports media during the week. I thought we were going to get the bills treatment once we were officially complete failures but CMON MAN. Nobody wants to watch the vomit inducing 18/7 cowboys coverage. I hate america.

I just read that Ochocinco has more TV shows than touchdowns. Such a ludicrous statement in every way.
