NHL 15 PS4 / X1 - No EASHL in the game?

So, evidence is starting to come in that EASHL is not going to be in NHL 15 for the PS4 and Xbox One.

There are reports of people posting theads about EASHL on EA's forums and having them get deleted. Most notably, this thread (link doesn't exist):

So, EA gets two years to work on PS4 / Xbox One versions of NHL and it might not have EASHL in it? So completely bummed if true.

EA Sports Hockey League. Basically, 12 players get into a game and choose positions, so the game is 6 v 6 between thos erandom 12 players (3 Forwards, 2 Defensemen and 1 Goalie for each team. Players don't leave the ice, so you're always playing unless you take a penalty.).

That would suck if true. Not really a mode I play a ton, since not many of my friends were into it or on at the same times, but with the time they took to do this 'right' it would be a strange omission.

im not joking that if this is not in the game im throwing my ps4 out my 3rd floor window. i play nhl every night for the past 6+ years. if this is true then fucking fire every1. people buy the game for that mode specifically.

There is *literally* no way they would do this.


Me and 6 of my friends pretty much play the game exclusively for EASHL (I do dabble in be a pro sometimes)

Bummer. By far my favorite way to play the game online. And I, personally, think it's the best execution of the "Team Play" mode in today's sports games.

No EASHL in next gen would be a huge disappointment. I don't have a PS4 or Xbone but I am a huge EASHL fan and was thinking about a PS4 soon just for NHL 15. Guess I can just get the PS3 version now...

1-2 players online? Lol. The best part of NHL is playing with 12 real players online. Definite pass if true.

Well, my motivation to pick this up down the line has dwindled considerably. Will keep an eye out for if its true or not.

Something is up. The game comes out in less than a month and they still haven't talked about anything other than the updates to the presentation.

If EASHL gets cut, then I think GMC will be cut...in which case i'll lose all hype for a game that ive purchased for last 8 years.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me after the way NHL 14 was handled. There are a myriad of problems that have either been ignored or made worse. Going into this year's version, I already had a ton of questions that I needed answered, but the lack of online team play and clubs would be enough to put that money towards something else.

Would be amazing if true. They take an extra year, the game looks marginally better than NHL14, and then they don't include the main reason why I play the game? lol, okay.

Good thing they're pushing HUT so hard this year, at least we can continue to give EA money throughout the year. :)

If this is true...I will still buy the game, but fuck, come on EA, it's by far the most popular mode. And shit, they've monetized all the boosts and boost slots, its not like they aren't making money off the mode. They have to know its probably the most popular online mode, it definitely is a larger pool of players than HUT.

Its going to seriously ruin my enjoyment of the game if it isn't included, NHL won't be played year round without this mode for me.

I know why they didn't speak on LIVE 14 at all, because it truly was an abomination in about every possible way. NHL I've always been happy with, the over all gameplay has been great, the bugs change every year but the feel of the game actually improves every year so I can't fault them. I know that team is super passionate about hockey so I trust they've got a good game in their hands, at the same time the radio silence is disconcerting. I am REALLY anticipating their Gamescon presentation tonight to see if they speak on it at all. Then again, NHL has always been 3rd fiddle in the EA Sports family.

They will actually lose sales if this is true. Easl is the premier mode in the NHL series for what.. 5+ years? What else is there?

That would really suck, it's probably 80% of what my friends and I do in NHL, I waited for the next gen release, not having bought NHL 14 this is pretty disappointing if it turns out to be true.

Horsecrap.
My friends and I ONLY play this mode. If they take it out there is no reason to purchase. Guess I'll put that pre-order towards NBA 2K15. At least that is a COMPLETE game.
