Grossman is a stay-at-home D 6'3" 225 lbs. 27 yrs old and in the last year of a deal paying $1.625M. Don't get caught up about lack of pts.

Grossman has logged average of 18:59 with the Stars and has blocked 100 shots. Only Flyers over 100 are Timonen (102) and Carle (112).

Yeah the Flyers definitely could use someone willing to blocks shots. It seems like who ever they are playing always blocks more shots then they do.

And there's significantly more potential money in future TV deals than 4,000-6,000 more tickets sold per game for just one team.

I'd think Columbus would become the next most likely team to relocate assuming the Islanders just will move somewhere else on LI or NYC.
 
Oh, that reminds me, saw an interesting statistic on Sportsnet at Vancouver-Colorado today. There's only THREE teams in the league for which the player with the most hits is also the player with the most shots. I forgot one, but the other two were:

Shea Weber and... LANDESKOG. Impressive.

I think the Blue Jackets attendance was fine. I dont see the NHL moving that team for a while. The Yotes and Devils have to be way higher on the list.

I wouldn't worry about it. I can't fathom in anyway that Philly would need more scoring. if anything they need more defense, even after the grossman deal.

yeah man, i've been preaching that for a while now. I'd love to see an offensive defenseman, but they're so expensive. I know we have kimmo to quarterback, but it'd be awesome to have a dude for the 2nd line PP quarterback. that and kimmo is old, etc.

Dreger just said on Twitter they are looking for another D-man to add and mentioned Schenn, Johnson and Gill.

yeah i've heard those but didn't johnson just sign a new deal?

and i'd love schenn, but it doesn't seem very realistic... or does it? I don't wanna speak out of my ass. and gill is ..so-so.

i'm not sure who's on the market to be shipped out for us..
 
Moore absolutely blew with the Sabres when they acquired him at the deadline a couple years ago, but he's been successful/well liked everywhere else he has gone. :\
