That is the thing, apparently he is better than Kindl, I haven't seen him develop since he was claimed from waivers, however Kindl has struggled recently and I think bringing in Quincey, who is only an RFA after this year is a good move that improves the D. Also if like SpacLock said, it could be a Stuart replacement though I don't know if I like that. Even so I doubt he would make any more next year than this year, also he won't get really much of a raise if it goes to arbitration.
If another team puts an offer sheet out, we would most likely get a 1st and a 3rd back if we let him walk which makes up for this trade and getting rid of a 1st in a weaker draft. So overall a rather smart move by Holland, though we have to wait and see how he plays for us until we can come to a conclusion on this deal. Losing the 1st is the bad thing but I guess we shall wait and see.
