Jets have evened it up thankfully... With the amount of shots and now better scoring chances, the odds are looking more in our favour now, as opposed to the start where the Blues were controlling the play in the first period. I can only hope that for once in the past few games that we do not have the colossal failure in the 3rd and lose the game. We *really* need this win to keep pace.

Blues are not looking good and the Jets are really dictating everything. Blues also need every point to stay ahead of Nashville and Chicago.

:lol :lol :loooooooool
Nashville then? The Blues are not playing like a top NHL team, and will play more on the road than home during the last month of games. They are going to need the points if they want home ice in the first round.

Edit- Or did you take my post as that they literally need to win every game? I honestly don't know what you're :loling about.

Rick Nash's agent Joe Resnick has broken his silence on client's trade situation. Told TSN the following:

“We’re hopeful a deal can get done prior to the trade deadline that is fair and equitable for the Blue Jackets...However, if a deal is not reached, then the list of acceptable teams will not change at a later date.” #TradeCentre #tsn

Sounds like Nash will be traded very soon. Rangers and Leafs seem to be to only suitors remaining if the beat reports are to be believed.

Going to the Bay Area meet-up today so won't be able to watch the game but I'll be intently checking the score on my phone. Go Sharks!!!

It has to be the Rangers. Toronto I don't think has the same kind of assets to offer, unless Howson is keen on Schenn.

Bob McKenzie is speculating that both teams have solid offers on the table, but the Leafs are refusing to include Gardiner while the Rangers are refusing to include McDonagh or Del Zotto.

If Howson decides to accept a lesser offer, the Leafs package would be Schenn+prospects (he mentioned Colborne/Kadri/Aulie/Blacker as potential names) while the Rangers are offering Dubinsky+prospects (Kreider/Hagelin/etc.)

Correct. At this point, I'd almost rather see the 'Hawks as sellers. They don't have the depth to make a run and I don't see the point in paying the high cost for rentals to try and salvage a season that isn't going anywhere. If they can get anything at all, I'd rather see them deal guys like Brunette, Frolik, etc, let guys rest and get healthy, and make another run next year.

That guy should kick his own ass for wearing that.

Canucks have made a trade:

The Vancouver Canucks have reportedly sent Ballard to the LTIR and have received a few million in cap space in exchange. Mike Gillis explained, "This move immediately makes us a better team. We wish Keith all the best in his new environment and hope he never recovers. Also, money. Blessed are the Hockey Gods."

$4.6M free now. Suddenly the Canucks aren't so hand-cuffed if they choose to make a trade. Bottom 6 depth and a good dman for the 3rd pairing please.

[edit] Ah, bardia already mentioned this. My bad.

I always knew Wolski would be passed around like a cheap hooker once he was out of our system. We have a much higher tolerance for mediocrity and zero work ethic than every other team.
