The Ottawa Senators are strongly considering trading for Blues goaltender Ben Bishop according to sources.

t’s unlikely the Blues get a player back in return unless Bishop becomes part of a larger package. A second round pick may be a stretch with a third rounder probably more realistic.

YES PLEASE!

DA BISHOP!

So the owner is the GM? has he had any NHL managment experience?

Sorry for the stupid questions.
He is basically the interim GM until he can find a replacement for Gauthier, and he doesn't that I know of, but he is still close to Gainey so I imagine he has a lot of input.

Tampa will probably get him, considering their situation in goal.

If we get him I don't know what it means for Lehner, Strickland says he may go back to Sweden instead of playing in the AHL.

I'd rather keep Lehner.

Bishop is a 25 year old pending UFA whose career NHL save percentage is under .900

He's having a good season in the AHL but I don't see why the organization wouldn't give Lehner a chance.

I wouldnt mind that, Binghampton seems like a shithole for our swedish prospects, everyone is complaining about that crappy city.

I think Lehner is ready for the next step, he just seems unmotivated this season when he has already won it all in his first pro year.

I think they will decide by Sunday when Lehner plays if they need to make a move or not.

Once again thank god this injury came right before the deadline.

Every Leaf fan at the ACC is thinking "please god kill me now why are we celebrating the '62 cup win on national tv." On the bright side the Leafs are playing a team that hasn't won the cup at all. =\

To confirm:

- Gauthier has been relieved of his GM duties

- Some Molson guy is now conducting all GM business

- Montreal are officially a selling team

???

Well, if we're gonna fall behind yet again, it might as well happen early.
