Girls can get friendzoned (fucking stupid term) too but you never see them bitching and whining about it. Strange.

Now is it possible to friendzone a girl who is already in a relationship or would that just make me a complete jerk of prick? Or am I missing the real definition of friendzone?

Frank Ocean is a nice guy of OKC confirmed.

isn't he dating some french male model?

I love the profiles that have height requirements.
That comes up quite often. I don't mind it when they only want the guy to be their height or a couple of inches taller. But the best are the girls who are 5'2 and their bare minimum height is 6'1. Hahaha.

Also all the girls who say they are only attracted to a single ethnic group and then claim that they're not a racist.

I saw one the other day that had a six paragraph essay for "you should message me if..." yeah, I'll just assume I don't meet one of these requirements..
They're the cream of the crop. I love the laundry list of ridiculous things you must be before they will even deem if your message is worthy of a reply. That shit makes me crack up, especially when that section is preceded by them saying that they're "sweet and down to earth".

It always makes me laugh when they make it a point to put that in their profile.

Only being attracted to one race isn't necessarily racist - no more than being attracted to one gender is homophobic.

People have their preferences. No need to shit on that.

but you can't say 100% never, you really do never know who you might meet sometimes

obviously cultural/religious crap could get in way, but it still requires extreme differences to make it a no go....

I think criticizing someone for their sexual and aesthetic preferences is a really bad idea, and pointless besides.

I don't like blondes. I'd never go out on a limb and say that I've never found a blonde attractive - I have - but I have my preference. To me, it's no different from saying "I don't date blacks". In the end it's all superficial. If their feelings extend past that into outright hatred, that's racism. But simply having a preference? Not racist in the least.

Granted, in my experience when people go out of their way to mention "I'm not racist, though!", it usually means they are. But that's another discussion entirely.

Yeah exactly.

I think people tend to avoid cultures that are strongly tied to certain ethnic groups than anything else. Unless, they are of course racist.

yeah, i understand what you mean by preference. Like i don't often find black women attractive, however i know when i do still... so i'd never say "black women need not apply" because that'd be rather silly cause i could miss out on the love of my life without realising it

What do you think "friendzoned" means? If a girl is in a relationship, then she can't be friendzoned. But she can be a friend.

I agree with this. While I have no issues with someone having a preference, it's a little tacky to advertise it on a profile - you never know when someone might come along to totally change your mind.

You can't really blame them for having preferences, even if they are unrealistic. Also, you can be attracted to a single ethnic group and still not be racist. And yes, you can be racist and be attracted to that particular race you don't like.

Eh, remember that they are the ones bringing up the racist thing in their profile. These are shallow girls too. It's not like they have an intelligent profile and that happens to be the only unsavory element. While it's true that not every one of them is a racist, they are all ignorant to make a blanket statement such as that. Ruling out everybody except a single ethnic group is pretty crappy. That kind of thinking is lost on me.

Yeah whenever I read that on a profile it's a huge turn off. Same with the height requirement ones. I'm 6 foot myself but it just comes across as being shallow. The girl alredy seems high maintenance and expecting everything.

But then again, girls on these sites get bombarded with messages constantly. I went on a date with this girl who was reasonably attractive, but nothing mind blowing... She had been on the site for around 2 or 3 weeks maybe and she showed me her profile on her phone. Had something like 250 different conversations in her inbox.

I also know guys who have a generic message and just go through every single girl they find even remotely attractive and just send the message. Lol. Without reading their profile at all. Pretty shitty.

I met my current girlfriend from OKC and we chatted for a few weeks on it before our first date even... All the while going out with other girls etc whilst we were in the messaging stages. But yeah these guys dont really deserve ridicule imo... Aside from the ones with backwards views obviously. The ones complaining of the "friend zone" all look really young anyway and probably just have zero romantic experience. Unfortunately they are taking out their frustration on a platform designed to meet girls, lol. Stupid.

I totally agree with this, but my friends joke about me being 'sexually racist'. For the most part, I'm only attracted to white guys but I would never not date someone who wasn't white for that sole reason. This might be due to my upbringing in a predominantly white area - out of my class in high school there were three Sikhs and a Muslim guy and everyone else was white (100 in total). Other years in my school were similar - that was just the area I grew up in.

I'm not saying it's a good thing but for some people it's just a preference and not a racist thing. I'm also not generally attracted to really tanned guys, or muscley guys but that's not a reflection on them, it's just a preference.

I don't care about height though, as long as they are taller than me (which at 5'4 isn't hard).

I'm not attracted to Chinese/Asian woman, and I myself am Chinese. Does that make me sexually racist? What turns me off is a rather broad generalization, but it doesn't make me hate them or anything, I'm just not attracted to them. Still, I'm not going to rule out that maybe one day I might end up being attracted to one, but if I'm going to go "hunting" I avoid Asian woman.

This sounds like me. I wouldn't say I'm only attracted to whites, I'd just say that I have a stronger preference for them.

I'm no expert, but I've always seen it as a cultural norm and not something that is racist. To me it just makes sense that a person would find those people attractive who look most like their parents, siblings, a majority of their peers etc. I also was brought up in white suburbia and not exposed to a lot of different races.

That being said, striking other races completely from the realm of possibility seems pretty silly and superficial. A huge part of attraction has to do with personality and usually the better you get to know someone and the closer you become, the more beautiful they start to seem to you.

Thats so weird.

I only knew about the oriental description being offensive after hearing it in Avenue Q. I have no idea why it's even considered offensive.
