To be fair, I think we legitimately aided one individual into making meaningful change on his profile.

So really, we're helping people. Kinda. Sorta.

Also, some of these people are sorta... psychotic and horrible, so it doesn't bother me so much.

Or Joke accounts, or deranged, or else... no harm in pointing out that they're doing something terrible to a site that people are legitimately using for finding love in their life.

I mean damn, I remember when I was like 13 having some really poor game, saying stupid stuff on chat profiles or whatever. These are grown men. It can't be real.

What cheapass arguments? If someone kept asserting the earth is flat, you'd laugh. Asserting that they're some sort of victim a la the friendzone (over and over) is pretty much laughable as well. You can keep crying over it if you want. I'm not messaging these guys. I don't run the tumblr. In what way am I picking on them?

Well, 1) the friend zone isn't real, it's a mental construct created to shift blame away from one's self to either this vague missed opportunity or to the girl herself, and 2) if you're whining about it on your dating profile (something that you've created in order to presumably seek companionship, love, sex, whatever), then really that is stupid.

Only just noticed Devo is wearing a fedora. Nice.

The tumblr sometimes criticises people, but most of the time it is just posting their statements and photos together, usually highlighting incongruity for comedic effect.


Hence the 'nice guy' thing. Most of the nice guys, aren't. This is amusing and also a possible lesson to them. The world is a better place for the tumblr.
 
Next time before I laugh at someone for being a dumbass, I'll PM Turok and see if it's okay with him. I'm sure if I check his post history using the Timedog Algorithm (TM), I won't find any instances of him doing that sort of thing. Right???

Wut. There is no one true definition of the "friend zone." Some people consider it whatever the hell it is you consider it, to others it's just being rejected by a friend. How is that not real? Some people get rejected a lot and that fucks with their self-esteem, so they're so socially inept that they can't help but complain about it. Doesn't mean they're shifting blame away from them, they're just venting.

The friendzone is something jerks keep crying about because they think they're owed something. It is entitlement distilled. If someone leads you on, it happens. If you find yourself being "friendzoned" over and over, well there is one common denominator here.
