People will remember Nicki Minaj, 10 years from now. Maybe not Iggy, but it is too soon to know if she'll fall off. Nicki has earned her seat at the table. Great mixtapes, a lot of stripped down talent there, not just as a female rapper, but as a rapper.
Iggy Azalea is who I think of when I hear MTV talk about how they don't wan't to objectify women or show unreachable standards of beauty.... then out marches Iggy. Jaws, drop. She's razor thin, gorgeous, white and a rapper too....

SERIOUSLY? I feel that you're absolutely incorrect about that. Her lyrics are mostly bloated braggadocious buumboclatt bullshit.
Pusha T has more to say than anyone in my opinion, including Macklemore - but not by much. I agree he sets a high standard for lyrical content and quality.
Other rappers that have more to say than her:
MANY but immediately I think of Skyzoo, EL-P, Mickey Factz, god... really only the A$AP crew, Cheef Keef are writing less conscious lyrics than her. She's definitely in the trite, hollow, low end of the pool lyrically.
She talks about ratchet this and ratchet that, Louboutins for blowjobs, etc etc. Money this and that. She in absolutely no way is a lyrics goddess.
I do like her beats and production and I think she is a fucking smoke show in the looks department.
Oh, and - what does "No shade" or "throwin shade" mean? That's a new rap idiom for me. What does it all mean Basil?

No, she's not - she can't sing, can't really rap, doesn't write her own lyrics, can't dance. She has a one dimension flow and raps exactly like the people who write her music. If you can't tell TI wrote Fancy then I dunno what to tell you. It's like when you listen to a Dr. Dre track and can tell exactly who wrote it (recent example: The Recipe, where Kendrick clearly wrote Dre's verse and Dre is rapping exactly like Kendrick).
Wikipedia track listings don't show ghostwriters. If you look up Will Smith's albums you won't see Nas' name anywhere, yet he wrote multiple tracks for Smith. You won't see Jay-Z's name on Foxy Brown track listings but he wrote for her. Likewise Biggie wrote for Lil Kim, and Wyclef wrote a lot of Lauryn Hill's album.

leaving your wife and kids for azalea banks seems like one of those decisions that you lay in bed, soaked in regret-sweat while wishing for a time machine to swoop you up and carry you home.
I wouldn't be surprised if Iggy Azalea did have ghostwriters at this point, but I also think that Iggy had to have some BASE level talent to get where she is FROM where she was. They don't just pluck white girls with phattys out of Australia of all places and turn them into rappers. If that's all is was to it, there are plenty of white chicks with big titties and round cakes right here trying to make it in this here rap game:
Honestly, the "____________ uses ghostwriters!" is a scarlet letter that pretty much every rapper gets branded with when they make it to this level and start clocking Billboard receipts. This is ESPECIALLY true of female rappers--I can't think of a single one who didn't have crazy ghostwriter rumors surrounding them. Hell, not even MC Lyte got off. People were claiming fucking LL Cool J was her ghostwriter.

Anyway, Nicki is sometimes halfway decent like on Chi-Raq freestyle while Iggy is almost always trash. I wouldn't claim writing credits for 75% of Nicki's songs but I definitely wouldn't claim 95% of Iggys.
Iggy's delivery is really southern and really takes to the mainstream interests, but damn as far as southern female rappers I'd much rather Brianna Perry
