Someone's summary of the film:

That... is surprisingly accurate.

Just finished watching this and I thought it was freaking incredible. Not much plot or anything, but the execution was crazy good.

The music made me swooooooon!

Just saw Drive. Enjoyed it very much but I have one question about the first scene:
did the thieves get arrested after the driver ditched the car?

Edit: Nevermind just went a few pages back in this thread and saw some discussion on it.

This debate was popular earlier and it was contentious. I remain on the side saying he obviously bailed on them and left them to get fucked.

Months after the fact I realized he just left the car there and he would not have done that had the plan gone correctly.

damn you haters

The guitar is awesome!

I appreciate the work that went into it, but it just doesn't have the same feel as the original.

Kid Cudi is on my shit list for a while for sampling "under your spell". That song and scene are perfect, and now whenever the melody pops in my head his lyrics creep in.

Everyone digging the Drive soundtrack should check out Valerie Collective, a small label founded by College. They've got a few limited edition physical releases (such as the long gone 7" single of "A Real Hero") but, more importantly, features mixes by artists on the label on a regular basis. The latest mix, "Every Single Time", is from College and it's just completely fantastic.

Just letting anyone interested know, the sequel "Driven" book is out. I almost picked it up yesterday.

Read a few pages in-store, seems really good.

Extremely late to the party, but finally watched this.

Dat cinematography and music direction. Pretty much perfect.

The movie just oozes cool, confidence and style out of every pore.

This reminds me: I still need to go through the first.

Never too late to join the party.

Fun Fact: I watched this at a theatre for the first time yesterday, when I had already seen it 3 times between streaming and blu-ray since the real release.

lol @ my country's movie release dates.

Worth it though, knew I was eventually gonna pay to see it on a big ass screen since day 1. Favorite movie of 2011.

Got to say I did not find Drive all that fulfilling a watch and found it very overrated. this makes me feel vindicated. *runs*

It's a beautifully crafted film. When you reduce it to the sum of its parts and to a "sinopsis" of any kind, it loses a lot of redeeming factors like that. That's the thing with films: you have to watch them.

Just saw it again with housemates who haven't seen it before. I liked it a lot better the second time round, the characters irked me when i saw it intheaters, my friends had the same reaction. This time, with the plot and characters out if the way, the films just look and sounds gorgeous.

Just watched this on Netflix. I love the music the style, the action, the driving (what there was of it anyway) and everything but goddamn the dialog is uncomfortable to watch.
