I think it's intentional. If it was a glitch they would have added in a delay for NG2. The flying swallow itself could be considered broken in its mechanics too.
 
Definitely looks like fun. This is my kind of game and I have every intention of playing it day 1.
 
Happy to see the wall jump is there still, you won't have to climb with shuriken only. Wonder if wall running remains as well. That said... game looks fantastic!

Please don't doubt the graphics, that is one thing Team Ninja is known for. They'll be to par come release, be sure of that.

LOL at people judging the graphics based on a youtube SD stream.
 
I don't think the graphics look bad at all. Looks better than NG2 and other action games that run at 60fps.
 
wtf? He got hit in the face with a rocket and it only did a tiny bit of damage? bows that slow down time? multiplayer that encourages teamkilling? flying swallow w/o decaps?

This is a good game, but it's not a ninja gaiden game, it's just not the same with the ninjadog team directing...

on a sidenote, ryu's whispering is hilarious. i have to turn up the volume to hear him, and then ayane's voice is loud as all hell.

They're probably playing it on easy. I like the new mechanics.
 
Manual wall climbing with the shuriken is a mistake. Leave it in, but don't make the player hit a trigger each time. It just exposes how robotic and bad the climbing animation is.

Also, I hope that mass of cubes those spellcasters throw is just stand-in art...

And it just hit me, they are showing off the 360 version. Have they shown the PS3 version? 360 wouldn't be the lead SKU, would it?
 
my biggest problem with these new vids is that camera placed lower than last NG games why they did that?
 
This game has officially turned hack-and-slash,wtf. All I heard was buttons being mashed and Ryu doing the same moves over and over again. What is the fascination with slow-mo and cinematic finishers or enemies' tell for attacks?
 
When he's fighting those three guys, it looks like when they pin Ryu down, it drains his health and his charge (UT) gauge.

Do the black cubes when he's fighting those guys remind anyone else of Twilight Princess or Bayonetta? Seems like I'm forgetting some...
 
I don't know, but I hope they keep doing it. She actually sounds and acts like a teenager now.

But this is Ninja Gaiden, after all Itagaki said Kasumi is too soft for a NG game.

Meaning, she should be always covered in blood. BLOOD AND GORE.

Can't lie, I kind of like Ryu the barely audible hero.

The slow down on the bow is kind of badass and looks pretty fun.

I won't bother hating on this game anymore. The way I see it, if Hayashi and team can't make a hardcore NG that competes with what Itagaki made, at least they can make something off the wall and fun, and that's what this is looking like. So eh, I hope they at least make a solid game.

Itagaki ain't here no more, as evidenced by that fact that Kasumi (who shouldn't be there IMO) suddenly pops up in NGS2.

No harm in that 5 sec scene IMO.

What's more shocking for me is the fact Momoji is no where to be seen here, her style rocked.
 
I think this looks good and I like the idea of the desert for a location. One thing I'm curious is there Ninpo in this game? Also what happened to the multiple weapons?

There's Ninpo, and awesome dragon effects, etc...
The desert I'm sure is only one location of many, especially if the first 2 games are any indication.
Not so sure on the weapons and upgrades or money, leveling up weapons, etc... though.
 
There are multiple weapons in the game. They have however removed the upgrading and orbs system.

You acquire new weapons as you advance in the story. Like shown in these videos. There are much more they havent revealed yet.

Ninpo works a bit differently as well. Your ninpo meter charges during battle, and once the meter is full you can execute the attack. The meter also restores your health after fights. Whatever is left in the Ninpo meter Fyer battle goes straight to your health bar. So you don't carry any ninpo energy between battles.

When he starts fighting the 3 alchemist enemies, it looks a lot like Ninja Gaiden Black...3 powerful enemies kicking your ass.

Keep in mind this is still very early on in the game. They did confirm you acquire new weapons as you advance in story. The swords and bows aren't all the game has to offer.

And yes, the upgrading system and statues from the previous games are gone. All weapon enhancements and new gear are done through advancin through the game.

Honestly I thought the PS3 version is the lead for NG3 as most E3 footage is from it, along with the multiplayer screenshots.

My guess is because they're working off of the Sigma engine when they ported NG2 to the triple.
 
looks ok. they made clear that the game was played on normal mode in this video. i like the new alchemist enemy type, you can't fight ninjas and demons all day long.

very optimistic here.
 
Hayashi of Team Ninja Dog has no idea what the fuck is going on here. The laughably stupid voice acting, Michael Bay explosions and camera, the combat and Ryu's attitude problem...

This is whack all over the map.
 
It looks alright. Better than last time I watched video I think. Though when they started him without a sword, I was like, "What the fuck?" Seemed like a short bow tutorial basically though. Got a sword back pretty quickly.
