Nintendo 3DS Games: what does this thing have?

Need pictures on the double! From every angle.
Sure. All I have is a my crappy iPod Touch camera, but I'll see what I can whip up. BRB.

Edit : Nevermind. My camera is totally picking up the purple as blue, so there's no point. :-\ Seriously though, it looks fantastic. It looks much better in person than in the official photos I've seen online. Easily my favorite 3DS color.

Thanks for trying either way! Enjoy the thing of beauty for me.

Anyone else in on this? Have mine pre-ordered on amazon :)

It just occurred to me it doesn't seem you can use the Circle Pad Pro while the case is on... hmm I might have to change my order :/

Thanks for giving me a heads up. I had the standard edition pre-ordered but will now switch to this. :D

Took a quick pic of my collection.

Admittedly, I haven't played most of the games I bought. As for the two copies of Resident Evil: Revelations; one is the actual game with the misspelled title on the spine and the other is the correctly spelled one. Like many others here, I requested a replacement slipcover but placed it on an empty 3DS case I had laying around. I still have a few spots missing in my collection that I'll fill in once their prices drop to something that I'm comfortable purchasing at (Pokemon Rumble Blast, I'm looking at you!). In addition to that, I plan on purchasing a Japanese 3DS to get the Japan-exclusives that the US won't ever get.

Anyone else collecting those clam-shell protective cases? I only have five and have been trying to get a hold of the SDCC '11 Megaman case as well as the pre-order exclusive Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D case. I was at Comic-Con and had the opportunity to get the Megaman case but stupidly decided not to because I was there for something else (kidrobot's Evil Ryu!).

You've got the misspelled and corrected versions of Revelations? That's some serious dedication to collecting, there.

His full post states that the corrected version is an empty box, sporting the slipcover that Capcom sent him. He doesn't actually have two copies of the cartridge.

I hope when full game start appearing on the eShop they include some of the older games already out. Something like Nano Assault is one I'd buy just so I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of tracking down a copy.

Target had no purple 3DS. :( Guess I'm hitting up Best Buy tomorrow.

Sadly, didn't see any games worth my interest, shy of Ace Combat, since I've heard it's a real AC game.

Guess I'm waiting for Fire Emblem, Soul Hackers, and 999-2.

More than half of the cast consists of adults, all of which become playable characters. If you don't like someone, simply let them die :)

Interesting option. Though I bet some of the younger characters are needed and maybe can't be killed. Will have to think about this.

Heh.

One of the *supposedly* main characters can get killed only around 1 hours into the game if you wish. Hell, you can also opt to off your main character as well, hahaha.

So, Mario Tennis! Lack of singleplayer content put it off my radar, unfortunately. Now the titles I am looking forward to is Theaterhythm, Rhythm Thief, Good People Die a.k.a. 999 part two, Fire Emblem Awakening (I swear I'm gonna send NOA many cursing letters if they don't release this), Bravely Default Flying Fairy... and oh, Ace Attorney vs Layton I guess (I am not a fan of Layton but a HUGE fan of Phoenix+Maya.)

And that's it, I suppose... unless I'm missing some games with good single player content in there.

I love my 3DS and I have quite a few games for it, but I haven't finished many of them or played it in a while. Why? Because the damn thing cramps my hands up so bad I can't play for more than a half hour. Redesign for people with bigger hands please? :(

Some of you guys' collections...

Ho-ly crap.

At least you're collectors! THose are some insane collections!

I only have a few 3DS games and I still don't get enough time to play through them!

Hey everyone! Can someone please tell me what the biggest SD card you can use with 3DS is? 16? 32? 64? Standard or HC? Class 1, 2? 10? I want to get a better card, but I'm not sure the biggest I can use. Thanks!

Gotta chime in and say that Shinobi is amazing.
If only it weren't so butt-ugly. I'm normally in the gameplay > gfx department and it's quite obvious an up-port from DS but it's just...ew.

That and the horseback sessions are pretty lame and drag on too long for my taste.

Does anyone think I am missing some games in the OP as well as in the Games Released in Japan list?

I was trying to avoid any kind of shovelware but what do y'all think?

Here are some from my collection that you're missing:

BIT.TRIP SAGA
Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions
Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure
Tetris: Axis

Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive!
Mutant Mudds

I assume you're not including applications or Virtual Console/3D Classics.

Or this

No more hand cramps.

Mutant Mudds, 3D Classics Kid Icarus.

And remove questionable games like Mario & Sonic.

Maybe add a DSiWare section.
I don't think he should remove any games, after all it's not like he's saying that every single one of the games listed is great and everyone will love it. Mario & Sonic may not be as good as many other games, but I found it to be pretty fun, and I certainly wouldn't consider it in the same league as shovelware that shouldn't be listed like Puppies 3D.

Does anybody play their DS games on their DS instead of the 3DS? I just recently got Dragon Quest IX, and for some reason I prefer playing it on my DSi instead of my 3DS.

If you guys had to choose between Freakyforms, Sakura Samurai, Pushmo and Mutant Mudds, what game would it be? I want to get one, or maybe two. (:

I don't, mainly because I want my gameplay to be tracked in my Activity Log, which the DS and DSi lack. If it weren't for that, though, then I'd probably prefer playing my DS games on my DSi XL.

Personally, I'd go with Mutant Mudds. They're all great games, though. They're kinda hard to compare, since they're all different types of games. Mutant Mudds still stands out as the best of them to me, though.

If you prefer platformers, go with Mutant Mudds. If you prefer puzzle games, go with Pushmo. If you prefer action/reflex-type games (like Punch-Out!!), go with Sakura Samurai. And if you prefer simulation/creation games, go with Freakyforms.

There's also a Mutant Mudds demo that you can download if you want.

Guys, should i buy Professor Layton Last Specter or wait for the 3DS one later this year?

Take into account that:

- I only played a bit of Curious Village and thought it was pretty good
- Last Specter costs like 33 fucking EUROS here lol

You've only played Curious Village? I'd recommend forgetting both then and focus on getting the third game, Unwound/Lost Future, as that was my favorite one in the series so far. Second one was kind of meh, but I loved Unwound Future~

My sister has Lost Future, I think I'l borrow it from her today :P

Not bad if you like 2D platformers, but rather on the short side. It does have achievements and leaderboards to keep you busy if you like that stuff.

How's the gameplay tho? Sonic Rush (not its sequel, eww) was the only Sonic game I loved in the past 15 years (didn't like the GBA ones, I despise 3D Sonics besides maybe Sonic Colors on Wii, don't like Unleashed) and I like most of Generations on PC. Also, word on framerate/3D? I wish there was a demo out..
