Nintendo 3DS Games: what does this thing have?

I just got a RE:R Street Pass notification but not a Mii Plaza Street Pass thingy. :( Didn't know that could happen, green light made me excited.

How does this happen? Just the guy didn't bother making a Mii etc? lol.

Happens to me all the time for various games. It pisses me off because I want to pass find mii 2 a second time and i'm dumb with my play coins.

Just noticed used copies of Ghost Recon: Shadow wars dropped to $12.99 (from $14.99):

I bought that game when it was on sale at Best Buy a few weeks ago for $7.99 and I love it. If you want to cure that Advance Wars/Fire Emblem itch (for now lol), this is the game to get. Easily worth more than the $8 I got it for. If you have some Gamestop credit (or money to spare), I highly recommend this game.

I also saw Nano Assault 3DS, used, has dropped to $9.99 (from $12.99):

I'm thinking about this one but with a updated version coming out on the eShop in the future, I'm not sure if it would be worth it. Always had my eye on this game. Any thoughts/opinions on this one?
 
To anyone with a JP 3DS and Code of Princess, how is/was it?
I know they're fixing stuff like the framerate issues for the localized version, but just wanted to know what I'm getting into since I pre-ordered it based on the notion that it was a spiritual successor to Guardian Heroes.

I love Nano Assault. Really awesome, awesome game. Well worth the current $9.99 - looks even better now on the XL, too ^_^
 
Got Ace Combat and it is fun. Thanks for recommending it.

Kid Icarus on the other hand causes physical pain while playing. It just does not seem natural. Any recommendations on how to hold the 3DS? I don't plan on using the stand as it defeats the purpose of portability.

Besides the pain from playing KI, I kind of wish they went without the ground combat. Any tips on upgrading/fusing weapons and such?

I haven't (because I'm waiting for the White XL in NA) but you're basically clawing the game and putting pressure on both your thumb and index finger while trying to hold it with the rest of your hand. I doubt it would be any easier with an XL. It could be worse as it's a heavier system. The stand is there so you don't have to strain your hand holding the system.
 
I can't believe how a niche game like Rhythm Thief has so damn sky-high production values, I mean, this completely shits on Lego Batman 2 a hundred times before that one has even a chance, and I liked that game, but damn, was it a lazy port. I wish it would have sold way more, but without marketing that's kind of impossible I guess.

Also, get Rhythm Thief, you won't regret it.

Don't listen to this man. I never used the stand, and have spent 50+ hours with the game. Just use your left hand to hold the console, and rest it on your knee. Fiddle with the control settings so that they're a little more sensitive, so that you only need to swipe a little to turn, and you should be fine. Sitting in a comfortable seat probably helps. Stick with it man. The rewards are worth every second.
 
I don't use the stand either. I curl up the last two fingers of my right hand and put the bottom right corner of the 3DS between my pinky and ring finger, using my thumb and index finger to use the stylus. That takes care of supporting the system. I also press L with the middle joint of my finger, not the tip.
 
Even with the stand I get pain on my left wrist.

I think it depends on each person. Some people are more prone to that sort of pain. The fact that I spend 8 hours in front of the computer at work probably has a lot to do with it.

Well, if you like programming in BASIC or playing other people's games made in BASIC, then it's fantastic. It's a bit more advanced in that it takes advantage of various DSi features. For instance, you can have programs that utilize the touch screen. All in all, great program.

I'm almost finished Resident Evil Revelations, in fact I'm right at the end scenario.

I cannot believe how utterly brilliant this game is. It alone has completely justified my purchase of a 3DS XL.

Revelations is without doubt one of the best Resident Evil games ever made. It has action, scares, great atmosphere, memorable characters and a storyline typical of the series that I'm sure RE fans greatly appreciate.

I'll finish the game this evening and get stuck into Raid Mode.

I really hope Capcom give us more RE games like Revelations.

Absofuckinglutely agree! I was so on the fence about getting back into portable gaming and couldn't decide between the Vita or 3DS. Finally went with the potential of Nintendo first party efforts and got the XL. My intention was to start with Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land but Best Buy had a "Buy Two Get One Free" deal so I picked up Resident Evil Revelations. I was skeptical at first because I feared the lack of a second analog stick would make me hate the game but I went with my gut and glad I did. As a major RE fan, I can whole heartedly say that this is the best RE title since RE4.

I was pretty shocked at how much I liked it too. I'd guess with their engine being setup for the 3ds we'll see some more stuff coming eventually.
 
Went out and bought Nano Assault used ($5 bucks since I used a $5 off coupon) and Nanostray used ($2.99 at Gamestop).

I haven't touched Nano Assault yet but I played a level of Nanostray and it feels soooo good to use the circle pad.

Shmups ftw!

Just need to grab a copy of Nanostray 2 one of these days.

No, it needs to be like the GC version. That's the version my younger self played and I won't accept anything different. I tried the current Harvest Moon for 3DS and it felt...wrong.

It's ok though..only paid $5 bucks lol.

I just finished playing 4 stages and I think this game is great! I can definitely see myself being addicted to the leaderboards.

Day 1 purchase for the EX version.

This is such a hidden gem. Should have picked this up sooner.

Just a heads-up--IIRC, a lot of the game-breaking bugs people have complained about are triggered by accessing the leaderboards.
 
Japanese animation "Toriko" heading to 3DS.
The little details of Toriko Gourmet Survival

・Player character is Toriko.
・Main theme is team battle called "Gourmet Royal"
・Toriko can make a party with Gourmet Monster after used his skill "Scout Knocking".
・Gourmet Monster have some skill that help her.

It looks like Dragon Quest Monsters.
The difference is player character join battle.
