I actually went out of my way to unlock thebefore taking on Ganon because it felt weird not doing it in *that* costume.Tunic of the Wild set
I actually dyed the Hylian Tunic and Hylian Hood green, like that it gives him a bit of a ranger look.

You are still wrongHahahaha yes my thread is redeemed by the word of god!!!
Really it's not in? I don't buy the silly realistic explanation. Breath of the Wild ain't a bit realistic.
You had ample chances to get the Amiibo, especially the Smash bros Link at a low price it's only shot up because people are buying them to use in Breath of the Wild.
I paid £10.99 for Smash Link and I brought it when it was released along side with Smash 4.
Dye the pants white to make it really pop.I actually dyed the Hylian Tunic and Hylian Hood green, like that it gives him a bit of a ranger look.

Saying Link's hat looks dumb is like saying Mario's mustache looks dumb.
Shame all of the other hats in the game look awful.
I wish it was chest/legs/shoes instead of head/chest/legs.
If I get one more thread title as a spoiler from BotW I am going to snap.
He looks fine with the tunic and the hat is fine, it's just developers making silly excuse as the theme of the game is rebuilding yourself back up.
Link's hat is iconic and I bet you that it will return in future Zelda games.
It's is in it via a the amiibo or as a reward for completing 120 shrine.

The more you push fidelity the more certain things start to stand out. I pointed out that the tunics look great in this engine, however, when it comes to the physics, they look really goofy, they clip through a lot of equipment and bounce profusely. Still, big fan of how all the classic costumes look in this art style. If you're gonna give such stupid reasoning then don't give any at all. BotW doesn't look different enough (art style wise) from SS that the hat suddenly stopped looking good with the "power" available on the switch, that's just a load of crap if anything beefier specs should make it easier to render a hat in a more believable way. Fucking Nintendo execs and their moronic responses all the fucking time... ugh...

Well, ypu can buy the 8-bit Link Amiibo or any of ther Link amiibos for the classic costumes.Agreed, just saw the classic LoZ costume and it looks awesome, shame that you need to beat all shrines before you can wear it. I would gladly pay for it as DLC if it meant that i could play the WHOLE game using it (first playthrough).
30 years ago they couldn't draw hair so they put a cap on Mario...funny how that works
God I wish the TP costume was just available for purchase
I get why it isn't, they like money, but I don't have fifty dollars for the damn TP amiibo or the OOT one.
I mean, it can be argued that it wouldn't go well with the blue tunic, but they seriously worked some magic, EVERY classic design looks great in BOTW. Like you gotta think about some goofier elements that just work thanks to this artstyle.
-OOT's goofy ass gauntlets and hair style
-the really long sleeves of WW and classic Zeldas
-all the hairstyles have their physics
etc.

Making that stick out in a field full of green takes effort. Doesn't happen by accident.they didn't try too hard to make a single color battle skirt to look ok
