What game are you most excited for?

Suprised by GAF and the lukewarm reception of Nintendo's E3 Direct. I think it was amazing,it had a fucking Metroid Prime 4 announcement in it! And a Pokemon too! And Rocket League! Plus Mario and Xenoblade 2 are coming very soon. Come on GAF, this was a dream Direct

It was amazing. Ignore the haters.

Seriously though, can we get a Switch eshop port of this? I really dont want to have to dig out my 3ds to play it on a 280p 3 inch screen.

All I wanted was Rocket League, FIFA (because these two make up 70% of my gaming on PS4), for Odyssey to look good and there to be one western title I didn't expect that looked good.

Barring the last one (though I do like the look of the gameplay of Mario + Rabbids) I got everything I wanted. Nice teasers for Pokemon and Metroid too. Just wish there was a little more new IP outside the classic Nintendo franchises.

Man, I was absolutely CERTAIN I would be buying no more 3DS games since the Switch makes it obsolete. A new Metroid requires me to reconsider my previous convictions.

The main lesson with GAF is that there is no winning if you are not already incredibly far with the development of your game.

It's even worse because stuff like FFVIIR was nowhere near that level. The thing is that if some people don't see a CGI trailer that is not indicative of how the game will actually look or play, then it doesn't count.

E3 is not over yet ;) More announcements/details throughout the show

That's really annoying. They should at least announce what they'll talk about after their first press briefing. I don't want to be stuck to a livestream for days. Everything should be pitched-teased in the main show, then shown in the Treehouse.

Seeing Metroid coming back from the grave has put me in this weird place where I'm actively kind of salty that Metroid gets to come back but Golden Sun doesn't :/

Nintendo won easily. Sony's was legitimately painful to sit through and while MS was better, I'm not super interested in any of their games. But the direct was seriously disappointing to me in the grand scheme of things. The only really surprising thing was the Metroid Prime 4 teaser. Pokemon, Kibry and Yoshi platformers -it's a Nintendo handheld, anybody reasonable assumed we'd see them eventually (and the later two don't even look that good imo). The complete lack of any new non-indie third party announcements really isn't giving me much confidence in the system.

3DS isnt giving the Switch the crown anytime soon!

Eh it's being made by MercurySteam, Metroid 3DS is likely going to be gutter trash judging by Castlevania MoF. The Switch one on the other hand is being internally developed by Nintendo.

I think since 2015, i consider E3 as as a light fall/ winter direct. Nintendo's idea of having one major release each month gave me the realization they would be all the safe IPs to bide time until the bigger, and new titles can come out if not by them, then by 3rd party exclusive titles. Do we have a release of the exclusive major title for each month going forward? we have:

June: Arms
July: Splatoon
August: Mario+Rabbids
Sept: ??? Fire emblem warriors?
October: Mario Odyssey
November:???
December:?? XBC 2?
Jan: kirby/yoshi
Feb: yoshi kirby

What do you guys think?

Very cool presentation and easily the most exciting of E3. Nintendo have done an excellent job of rebranding themselves. Definitely going to pick a Switch up sooner as a result.

Pokken is at the end of September

Nintendo won for sure

I'd say it's a tie with Ubisoft. Both exceeded expectations and have a pretty solid Library for the coming year with games soon-to-be-released and just announcements. They share Mario+Rabbids too which might be one of the highlights of the show too, that's no coincidence!

Nintendo continuing their tradition of kicking everyone's ass at gaming

Huh?

I mean it was by far the most entertaining conference..but only because Ms and Sony had such a poor showing. Especially Sony.

Still not sure what they were thinking, simply showing trailer after trailer. Why even bother when all you do is a video presentation.

I hope this finally put an end to the idea that Laura Kate Dale is a reliable source of any software stuff other than Ubisoft.

So their two biggest announcements amounted to "We're making this game, it is under development now"

Well that's a whole lot of nothing except an acknowledgement...

Lol, not even close... Sony actually showed up with their games.

Great "conference." New Kirby and Yoshi games look good. Xenoblade still out in 2017. Mario in October. Confirmation that Pokémon is moving to Switch. PRIME 4. Way more than I anticipated.

Sony's show was incredibly dull.

Yeah...the same ones as last year.

So glad I got to buy a switch yesterday. I was wondering if I should wait for their conference, but went ahead because I know it is Nintendo.Plus they are so rare that you almost have to get one when you can.

Yoshi, Mario, Zelda, Metriod.... ah yase. Happiness is coming.

Let down by Sakurai again. lol

For me the biggest surprise was the lack of Retro. Smash would have been awesome, but Nintendo are selling 2 fighting games just now as it is so I wasn't amazed it didn't appear.

I was kinda impressed that they didn't spend much time on Splatoon and ARMS. Would have been easy padding.

Sony's show was incredibly dull.
The funny thing about Sony's show was that it almost could have been a Direct. The stage presentation was so barebones that they needn't have bothered.

MS at least had lots of walk-ons to semi-justify the event.

I don't really get into the 'who won e3' debates but I do think Nintendo had the best showing, just more interesting games presented/announced imo. Sony and Microsoft were kinda dull this year, but it's all good because great games are still on the way. It's a win/win for those that game.

Mario, two Metroid games, Zelda details, Zelda amiibo, Yoshi, a new Kirby and more. Couple this with the Beyond Good and Evil reveal last night and I am one happy man.
