Nintendo has to deliver tomorrow. Many of the media completely is ignoring Nintendo right now. All I hear is "Sony and Microsoft". Sometimes, they mention the "PC". Never heard "Nintendo" today.

Gee, could it the fact that they're having their press conferences today? Or the fact that they're revealing new hardware?

Nahh

Nintendo cant drop the ball this year, right?

They can always do that. Simply showing Smash, Mario Kart and 3D Mario isn't going to do it for them. They have to, as far as I'm concerned, show how they're going to fill these voids being left due to having no third party support. That's the only way this comes out as a positive for me tomorrow. I say no support because even if Ubisoft is providing something (games that started on other systems where their primary audience is located) all the true new games (new series with no actual audience just yet and are a fresh start) aren't coming. So no there is no third party support Nintendo hasn't actually funded.

Well, a surprisingly early release date for Smash, SMT x FE, and X could fill the void of surprise filler games. I really hope the way Nintendo stopped almost all first party releases for the first half of this year means they have plans to have a consistent line up after they restart.

Although, after the complete misreading of the marketing that the launch was, I'm really not very confident.

Ubisoft really disappointed, if no surprises from them show in the Direct (BG&E2?), then for shame Ubisoft, we aren't even getting the new Rabbids game, AND THAT WAS AN EASY TO PREDICT Wii U GAME! :(

That makes no sense at all. Nintendo has enough games for a great stage show.

Anyway, Nintendo fans need to accept that to play games like The Division AND amazing Nintendo games you need to buy a Wii U and a PS4.

Accept that and you will stop caring which game Wii U gets from 3rd parties or not. On the plus side, PS4 will have the most advanced version of any 3rd party game anyway.

EA had 11 titles. Nintendo better have at least that many on display for the Wii U if they hope to compete with other publishers.

The difference this year is that the WiiU is in trouble, and new consoles are being released. They can't afford to drop the ball in they want to be profitable.

I'm looking forward to their showing. But there's always a "difference this year."

2011 - "They have to have a great showing. This year they're debuting their new console!"
2012 - "They have to have a great showing. They messed up their new console reveal once. They know exactly what they need to do."

Nintendo never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

If The Division was coming to WiiU we wont find out about it until much later, like Spinter Cell and Watch_Dogs didnt get announced for WiiU until this year even tho they were shown last year at E3

Could be. They should be able to knock out a new Strikers game in under a year if they are using the Wii game as a base to work from.

Seems a no brainer considering the lack of FIFA.

Playable Rosalina please. Considering she's basically a god, it'd be fun to see her get pissed.

lol
you guys better embrace the idea that third parties will give Nintendo the middle finger 90% of the time so you better get a decent PC or buy a PS4.

For better or worse, developers want powerful monster consoles, Nintendo said no. What goes around comes around. Easy as that.

The best thing about the Sony conference so far has been the indie games segment. I really hope Nintendo does a special Indie Direct for them to show off their support.

If they can't get the AAAA third-parties on board, they can still show off some nice titles. And for me, that's what Sony has done best so far.

I made a thread some months ago about Nintendo listing one or two unidentified Western subsidiaries in their latest financial report. Could be some sort of skunk works studios, could be nothing. Any last minute guesses?

Oh yeah. Forgot all about that. I did some research at the time but came up with nothing and then forgot all about it. I'd put my chips on it being nothing if I had to at this point.

OK, I'm not a Final Fantasy fan, but Versus (now Final Fantasy XV) looks AMAZING. Highlight of the PS4 conference. Looked like a Platinum action game mixed with Shadows of the Colossus.
