I dont think MJ got better he was always at a high peak. All the time. Can you really say you rock my world, in the closet, ghosts, remember the time..is better videos than thriller, bad, speed demon, the way you make me feel, etc..? I cant lol. The 2000's I can remember so good because I use to play my invincible CD I got for christmas on my dreamcast. I thought it was the coolest shit ever..
Dude, Remember the Time is waaaay better than Bad or Speed Demon. Not Thriller, though (but I prefer Remember the Time as a song).

Bad-Dangerous Michael is my favorite Michael, though.

I left the thread in page 150 and have been reading the latest 50 pages this morning. Wow at the gifs!! And WOW at the Nintendo-avengers pic. You guys are really talented!

About the leaked best-buy demo list, if you go to their Nintendo-Experience website it also mentions the "Luigi Loot":

It seems to me that someone from that store in particular already received the demo units and the loot and started advertising it sooner.

Oh BS. His music, videos, dance, etc. Got better as he got older. Not as "dance" themed, but much darker, more complex, more creative. His peak was in the 90's IMO. Though the 2000s showed outstanding work as well, shame he didn't do much with it though.

The real shame of his work, for me, is Blood on the Dancefloor not being a full album. Very interesting stuff, Morphine especially takes on extra life when viewed in the context of his death.

No comment. Like I said I cant pick what is better. I get a special feeling listening and watching them all I cant get from the other. Its like Zelda lol

we knew about the giveaway for a bit now and i think an employee commented on it and said that the demos are sent wirelessly, there would be no units arriving

edit: And he just said he liked him when he was younger. Not if he was better you went off lol

Yes, easily, hands down. I love BAD, but really when you hear stuff like this you realize just how much his music matured. It no longer has these hooks that can be easily played on the radio, instead it was just great vocals, sick harmonies, and outstanding melodies that you can spend hours finding new elements to the song.

Favorite album is dangerous BTW if you're wondering :P

I used to like Emily, even talked to her some.

But then she had to write that piece about Iwata.

Something had to give and my loyalty is with the bangs.
Two years ago she wrote a piece with Wii U (still Café at that point) info that said she was so certain that if wrong, then she would never write again. Much, if not most, of the info was inaccurate; but she's still writing. The fact that her speculation is stilled considered a viable discussion topic makes little sense to me.

Seriously. I got into Michael's music after his death and I got chills when I listened to Morphine.

Yeah, BotD should have been a full album. :( Superfly Sister is one of my favorite songs.

Oh lord Emily Rogers is hating me now :C I feel sorry ..

I'm pretty sure she doesn't, but you should watch out in which context you use certain names and personal statements to avoid any confusion

She doesn't spill baseless rumors anymore and focuses on writing and researching instead which she is stellar at, so she's okay in my book

Have you posted your impressions somewhere before? If not could you please give us your thoughts based on what you played? Cause what you are saying is a bit worrying.

found an old quote

project p-100 it's kinda got the feel of viewtiful joe but in 3d. you use the gamepad to draw a circle around civilians and add them to your gang. i didn't like this because there's no reference point, really. you also use the gamepad to draw up and up-and-right to draw a sword and gun respectively. if you use either one of those you can use it against enemies, but it depletes battery power. battery power can be rebuilt by mashing the x button which makes all the civilians rush the baddies and attack like pikmin. you can also defend and evade attacks as a group.

to expand on it a bit, i felt like the touch screen isn't implemented very thoughtfully. remember the early ds games, and stuff like dawn of sorrow when you'd suddenly be using the ds screen to affect the level design? it's kinda like that. this is stuff that could have been done with the push of a button, but you have to draw it for seemingly no reason. it works against the pacing of the game, which is already slow and linear (in a poor way).

a lot of times i can find out whether or not i'll like something from just a few minutes of gameplay. this did not grab me, and like some naughty dog game, it seems to be masking a lack of thoughtfulness in level design with crazy setpiece action.

Do you have a link to her article ?

Wow, I never heard that song before! I always thought his best vocals were in Butterflies, but this... this may have it beat.

You're avatar says otherwise.

Thanks for the clarification. Sending the demos wirelessly to the stores seems much more logic.

Thread is about Nintendo's E3 Direct. It is not an Emily gossip soapbox.

LOL that's because Dangerous is my favorite album, but Stranger in Moscow is one of my absolute favorite songs :P

Just to be sure, we all agree that the Smooth Criminal segment of Moonwalker was his best video, right?
Yes, I'll give you that :P

I really dont understand people being un-hyped for Wonderful 101.

It's a Kamiya/Platinum game!!!

The closer a game is to its release, the less interesting it is. That's why all the unknowns or vaguely teased ones are always the most sought after. It's makes no sense but that's how it is. IWANTTHENEWNEXTTHINGRITENAOW!!

good song :p

I feel you, I love it all the same..I dont really feel as if the music matured though. Like I said I felt the man was always at a peak it would be impossible for him to top himself. I think the music evolved. You can really hear and appreciate this in the Invincible album when its not that these songs are better than the old songs but they sound different. This reminds me in the motown 25 first billie jean performance and before he performs he says, something along the lines of " I like the old songs, those were good songs, but I especially like...the new songs." Its right there that even the greatness that was him and the jackson 5 before it, the new songs are as good as well, the new dance are as good as the old. Watching him peform with Jacksons again at the 30th anniversay you can see that singing and doing the old dance moves is just as good as the new. When Michael is doing it it doesnt look or sound outdated at all. Its even non distinguishable really. I could go on and on...

I will make a fat MJ |OT| in offtopic one of these days where me you and a few others here can discuss lol..

sorry for ot here guys but I had to.

edit: Its like hearing a unreleased song like this which recently on bad 25.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OqzWaRRV4fY

And you think its a new song but its not. See what I am saying..? lol

Did you ever try using the right stick instead (which I believe can replace the touch screen input)? Did it feel any better?
