Drop the price too 250$ zelda mario metroid SSB

Make 3 of those titles available on Xmas.

And watch everybody buy a wii U

There is no fucking way they are going to drop it to $250, I don't know why people are thinking this. $300 for deluxe + a game is already loads more value than a brand new $500 Xbox One with no game.

So, after this clusterfuck, let me say this:

I sure as hell would like to see more of these.

I'm pretty confident Nintendo can beat Xbox One with its Direct video tomorrow. Microsoft delivered a solid, well paced conference, but the actual games announcements did little to impress me. Too many gritty shooters and cinematic, streamlined games just aren't my cup of tea. I'm not sure if Sony will focus as finely on game announcements as Microsoft did, but I'd expect they'll announce more interesting games.

What? The article is right. We don't know if there are surprises or just the games they anounnced. I'm not really excited. I hope to see some really unannounced megatons and more details on Zelda U
I love surprises as much as the next guy, but we have no clue what the titles they have announced will be like.

Claiming that there's little to be excited about as a Nintendo fan just sounds incorrect.

There will definitely be surprises. The sheer fact that we have no idea what Mario U is gonna be like is one of the biggest surprises already.

We know Smash Bros, 3D Mario, The Wind Waker HD, and Mario Kart will be there for sure. That's enough to get excited about, but the real excitement comes from the fact that we don't know exactly what else will be there! What you're saying makes no sense. Is Nintendo supposed to tell us the unannounced games now so we know they will be at E3? If they do that, then how will they be surprises? Haha.

Yes, but it would totally fit Nintendo so much if there's only the stuff they already annonunced (Mario 3D, TWW HD, Super Smash, X, Bayo etc) + Retro as only surprise.

I wish they would hype me with some sentence like "We will not only deliver Mario 3D, TWW HD, Mario Kart, Smash, X, Bayo, Braverly etc but also some completely unannounced games!"

It would get my hype level on 9000

@d-e-f no, 3D mario is not a really surprise for me , 'cause it's already announced.

@KeeSomething no but they didn't said any word about surprises, just the games you mentioned. A E3 is not only great games for me but also some really WTF OOOOMG YYEEEES moments.

I do agree that some "wow factor" is taken away by announcing those games in advance, but did you really need Nintendo to say they were making it to know that it was happening?

Price drop the GODDAMN machine now, Nintendo!

It'll be an epic comeback.

And with what games? The system would still sit on the shelf. Nintendo shouldn't drop the price until there is some software that actually gets gamers talking. Game & Wario and Pikmin 3 are not those games. Hell, I'm not sure what those games would be.

The Wii U doesn't need a price drop. At this point all it needs are games. Its biggest rivals are going to have $500 entry fees.

I'm guessing the PS4 won't be less than $450. And I'm pretty sure? the 499 for the xbone doesn't include an xbl subscription

Seriously, all Nintendo needs is one or two must-have games, and no Christmas-shopping parent will think twice

Bundle Mario Kart and NintendoLand with Premium sets for $300 in November. Bam, they've owned Christmas. It's how it should be, they'd be mad not to do it

This should and probably will happen.

I paid 249€ for the premium, so I still wouldn't feel ripped off and on the other side this would be a great deal for all the new users IMO.

249.99 Mario Kart U bundle or a 499 Xbone. Yep, pretty obvious choice for a parent.

But... most parents will just get their kids an iPad mini instead.

Well, not directly but maybe a hint. Like the sentence I mentioned. But I'm curious... normally there have to be some surprises because Iwata said in the january direct, that they want to get more in partnerships with 3rd Party developers and FF X Shin is just an example(!) of those partnerships. I wonder, besides of Sonic&FE there is no such a partnership at all. Maybe some surprises are 3rd party exclusives or more cooperations like a F-Zero, Starfox, Wave Race, other Megaton etc developed by SEGA/Shinen/Platinum/Capcom. That would be awesome... I like to dream.

Remember Braveheart, the enemy army shoot their arrows, and the willian wallace crowd covers... and when the arrows stop they get up and celebrate?

well, somebody do a gif with this scene, nintendo is celebrating the arrows did nothing.

(might be another movie, braveheart is almost 20 years old i think, i dont remember it all that well)

I think $250 will be a bit too low, even though there's an attractive notion that it'll be half as costly as the bone.

I can see $279 for black and white premium sets (with Nintendo Land), and $299 for a red premium set bundled with Super Mario Universe (and Nintendo Land).

It's all about value propositions, and the hundreds digit "2".

EDIT: maybe $250 Black Friday bundles.

Ninendo is trying to get their profits up to a certain level, so a pricecut (especially a $100 one), is very unlikely.

As for Microsoft, it is possible that the Xbox One's price was announced due to confidence that Sony will not be able to undercut it.

It's isn't the "main" gaf chat room (i don't think those guys like ppl giving that out). It's made up of mostly gaffers and we generally talk a lot about nintendo but not exclusively.
