That Kingdom Heart 3 footage looks really good. Does SE just not like Nintendo why can't Wii U get on the FF action, even that FF 13 lightning returns looks awesome and should run omn Wii U.

What time eastern USA does Nintendo show begin??

Nintendo's not touching Sony. Sorry, I love Nintendo as much as anyone here but realistically they will not top what we just saw. However, now that Microsoft is the recipient of all of the negative press, Nintendo can use this opportunity to get the heck out of whatever hole they've been in for the past year and start making the system look enticing enough to build an install base. Once that happens then we'll see some better -- even if still tepid -- third party support. It really is all about the games in Nintendo's case.

Super Smash Bros.
Super Mario
Mario Kart
X
Bayonetta II
Pikmin 3
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
and other surprises

Give people some hope that there are games worth owning in the near future, and Nintendo will begin setting right their ship. It won't be dramatic but it should be enough to at least survive.

If Nintendo were to announce The Last Story 2, I'm pretty sure they'd top Sony. But that's out of the question so...

I do believe it's 11am for us.

If Nintendo announces a price cut wouldnt it have to go in effect right away? They cant say the price will cut in the fall that would be waiting too long.

I think at this point they are contemplating whether to make the premium $299, if they haven't already.

I think they should have kept the basic and start selling it for $250 though.

So no mention of Shenmue 3, Capcom exclusives(mega man, darkstalkers), or PG surprise yet has me super hyped for tomorrow.

Also, what would be the ambassador program be for 50 or even a 100 dollar price cut. /drooling.

KH3 is not exclusive. I could see that also being on the WiiU (I have my doubts though). When have they ever gotten a mainline Final Fantasy game?

Sony's conference was good, but the games are still more of the same things we've seen this gen, just prettier. I was absolutely floored how good Destiny looked, but the gameplay wasn't anything mindblowing at all.

We'll see what Nintendo does differently tomorrow.

The first 6 were Nintendo exclusive! :P But I don't see FFXV coming out for Wii U. That would be amazing, but if it isn't exclusive to Sony, I think it's X1 that'll get it.

KH3, otoh, I wouldn't be surprised to see on WiiU ...

And yes, I think WiiU needs a price drop with it only being $50 less than PS4. :S

Now that's interesting if they didn't mention exclusivity. I also doubt it will come to Xbone, so Wii U might get a chance.

My exact thoughts.

Not saying it was exclusive to PS4, gave me the hint that it could be released for WiiU...

Hopes.

Also if it was they would of said it at the conference but they said "KH3 coming to PS4"

And the twitter account said "Final Fantasy exclusive to PS3/PS4, Kingdom Hearts 3 coming to PS4"

It looked like Wii U could handle that game for sure, and they didn't say it was PS4 exclusive.
That demography is already on Sony platforms, SE doesn't win a thing for releasing it on WiiU, if Nintendo is not interested in reach SE (like MS did with 360), then there's no chance the game appears on WiiU, on the top of that Sony would provide financial support to SE since they are extremely close each other.

I think Nintendo should put that deluxe set on $299 and deliver their top tier games at faster rates in order to compete with Microsoft, because to be honest Sony's got this gen secured, figuratively speaking.

To be honest, Nintendo can definitely top Sony in terms of content. Sony didn't really show a lot of first party games or exclusive games.

Also, expect a price cut. $300 or maybe even $250 (pushing it too far).

So with Sony's conference, what does Nintendo have to do to top them?

Sony started off slow and boring but really brought it with the PS4 section. It was a little overproduced but still top-notch. Nintendo probably can't match the excitement of a live conference with tons of reveals.

Is ms or sony revealing any more games tomorrow?

If not, thatd leave Nintendo with that PG surprise. Id assume.

Maybe nintendos logo color scheme change really means they bought platinum and that their next game is star fox united?

Kingdom Hearts is also on Nintendo.

Putting it on both PS4/Wii U makes perfect sense.

Nintendo would do wonders to start throwing $$ to Japan biggest developers. Its been almost 3 console generation since a Mainline FF title has shown up on a Nintendo system. I don't expect Konami, SE or TecmoKoei to have anything being shown.

Nintendo isn't "winning E3" at this point. But they can show more games than what intersted me in the PS4 conference at the least. They also need a price drop at this point for all the people who should eat crow saying PS4 would be 500+

After Sony's onslaught, I do wonder if I'm truly prepared for seeing Nintendo, tomorrow. Almost anything new and good could make me happy, at this point.

I think we will all win...Xbox is a win/lose situation if you want.

The best part of Sony's conference for me was the segment of indie game after indie game. That stuff looked great.

Nintendo doing that in their Direct or even just having an Indie Direct would be great to show support.

With the competition so seemingly shy concerning real gameplay, I think the doors are wide open for Nintendo to wow everyone with games that look and feel exciting and fun to play. Obviously, they can't compete head-to-head with the level of visual we've seen from the other consoles - though their games can still look attractive - but it feels like both Sony and Microsoft avoided/missed opportunities to show more gameplay. (perhaps they still plan to in the coming days)

All I kept hearing all day was: "this clip you're about to see is running in-game on our engine". For all that, the ratio of actual gameplay vs non-gameplay was somewhat off. Once you got over the visuals, the actual content wasn't that much different from what we're used to. The new level of immersion, however, may make up for it, initially.

Here's Nintendo's chance to show everyone that they still got game, and that creating truly fun experiences is their expertise. "Next-generation fun" should be their motto at E3. That would really drive a point home, if they actually deliver. Of course, they can screw up, play soft and hold back - like they do many times. Question is; can they afford to do that this time?

$250 is for the dreamers
like me :)
. $300 for deluxe and I'm finally going to open my wallet. I give Sony a grade of "B-" for software showing. Nintendo needs to bring their "A" game and I think they will.

I remember that KH 3D secret message, and it say
The past will be reawakened as a new number in never-before-seen detail. Prepare yourself for the awakening of the next number.
First part must be about KH remix and second part about KH3.
Would be super weird to say that on 3DS if Wii U isn't getting those, so I expect late port or just KH3.

Nintendo is so fucked.

Kick start it with Bayonetta 2 combo movie with 'Let's Dance, Boys!' blaring in the background. That will do for EatChildren and myself. :P

Do you guys really think he wants to make a star fox? ;)

"I want Nintendo's staff to come to Platinum, stick guns at us and tell us 'You guys make a new Star Fox'," stated Kamiya after learning that Nintendo developer Shigeru Miyamoto has expressed a desire for a brand new Star Fox title.

btw that quote came from an article dated 4.19.10

Absolutely. This is absolutely what they should be do. I love that E3 slogan you came up with too.

Really hope that Nintendo comes out guns blazing in the ND. I'll probably be satisfied with the confirmed games and hopefully they actually show the Retro game. A few other surprises would be nice as well.

A Kamiya directed StarFox MUST happen!

Looks like I'll be getting a Wii U this holiday if Nintendo plays their cards right tomorrow. Before I buy I need to see:
  • Price drop. Now that the Deluxe is only $50 cheaper than the PS4, Nintendo needs to reduce the price. $250 = instant buy.
  • GAMES. I expect to see Super Mario Wii U, Smash Bros, Wii U Zelda, a couple of surprises, and Retro's game.
  • Account system. Make it happen already.

The following are just wishes:
  • Some form of Earthbound announcement. Unlikely since it is coming out on Virtual Console.
  • Star Fox Wii U.
  • F-Zero Wii U.
  • Startropics? LOL.

Nintendo, the ball is in your court. In my eyes, Sony and MS failed to reach my expectations for games. Show us what you can do.
