Nintendo Sets Release Dates for Q1 for 3DS/Wii U

Christ, nothing but Rayman and Lego City until fall (and Monster Hunter, but I will never buy a Capcom game new ever again) and after that the releases are basically up in the air. I honestly hope that Nintendo doesnt think they're going to fight PS4/720 with ports and barely a handful of first/second party stuff...

7 month Q1?

Damn. I'm a staunch Nintendo supporter, but there is no defending that shit called Q1 Wii U. Barren. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is the only one I'll pick up along with Pandora's Tower but that's for Wii.

3DS looks a whole world better. Fire Emblem next month, Luigi's Mansion and Pokemon Dungeon in March. Not too bad at all. Overall, between the two systems I'll be good. I still have some launch titles to pick up for the Wii U but holy fuck, it seems like every first party title has been pushed on to the next Q.

Pandora's Tower is April, so that's Q2 (along with Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Animal Crossing NL and Soul Hackers so far).

Lol, they've only announced Q1 games and a couple first half games.....how does Wii Fit U and Wario being slightly delayed spell doom for Q2, Q3 & Q4 for the Wii U? Not to mention all the Nintendo Directs that will be on the way full of Nintendo surprises that no projected release list will be taking into account. Funny logic? Funny logic.

nintendo's been pretty good about releasing games when they show them. they've also been pushing back finished games to fill gaps recently, too. they sat on skyward sword and smg2 for months before they released them. the thinking was e3 2012's showing would take them to the end of the fiscal year- not that it would be the lineup for an entire year until e3 2013 (or more).

No, as I was saying, they were great in the "Trinity" period (Xeno, Pandora and TLS), with the nice addition of Japanese sub for Rhythm Heaven.
After that, with 3DS (software-wise, considering that they brought us more colors and bundles for the consoles compared to the US) and Wii U, they seems sleepy.

After the Fire Emblem bundle for the 3DS (with artbook for preorders), the 3DS lineup (we are still missing a couple of Devil survivor games, code of princess and now the US have the announcments for Etrian Oddissey and another Devil survivor game, and Fire Emblem will be out two months before us) and the Wii U PAL delays (Ninja gaiden missed the launch, Scribblenauts is coming out just on February, still no firm news about Q1 firm dates and so on), they seem to have missed the right path they were following..

I see. I don't really follow what comes out when in the US and Japan particularly so I can easily understand why you feel the way you do from what you have said.

Ah.. The first year drought with a new console. Its funny cuz with the VITA and 3DS i didn't really have anything to play the first year 2, actually.. I dont really have anything for the VITA right now :/

Think i gonna grab my first Monster Hunter, get Rayman Legends cuz the demo was really beautifull and gave me the same 'wow' as the VITA version of Origins. Might get Lego City 2, reminds me of GTA.

Then for 3DS i still have Resident Evil to complete, then i will buy Luigi's Mansion and that Pokemon game.

The list doesn't look that bad if i see now..
Btw - First post on GAF :D Really glad i can join the hype for E3 and all the crazynizz

Yeah, it's actually a very good amount of games when you get down to it. It's just we have nothing from now until the end of next month. That combined with the fact that the launch window promises we're just empty words is disheartening.

Jeah that's true.. Did not really know what to expect when i got the WIIU, and 3DS, VITA for that matter.. Launch year is in my experience pretty bad, dunno if that is with other consoles because i only got that 3 at the launch, but it doesn't really bother me that much.. 3DS came fine really if i look back at it, sure price drop and all but that is the risk.. WIIU i got MarioU what is really fun to play alone and with the family here.

Only real dissapointment is the VITA really, thing is out quite some time and doesn't look to bright, shame cuz i really love the hardware.

WiiU will be okay, just like 3DS is now. Dont really know what some have expected, a Zelda U? Metroid U? it is fair to ask but maybe not just now..

What bugs me is that on another dutch forum where i am at the people always say, i dont wanna buy the WiiU cuz i can play those games on my PS3, funny thing is when the WII was out it was all like 'why would i buy a wii, it doesn't have the multi platz'.

I have trust that the game libary will be alright, already have more on my wishlist then the first year of vita en 3ds
