Terribad. I think the contrary: Final fantasy should only be used for the main-line games. Squarenix is complaining the FF brand has lost its quality in consumers minds. When you name every other game Final Fantasy, of course it will. Let Final Fantasy be a exclusive brand only used for the highest quality games.

Crystal Chronicles doesn't need FF in the title.
Final Fantasy Tactics doesn't need FF in the title.
Dissidia doesn't need FF in the title.
Direct sequels don't need FF in the title.

It's not even so much that it's silly (although it is) it's that it's nonsensical sounding. Bravely Default are two words that don't sound like they should be smashed together like that.

The game might be brilliant as hell, which will cause people to look past its ridiculous name - but that means they're still gonna have to look past the name. It's an unnecessary obstacle.
