Lol. They should have call it Metroid Prime 4: It's dead, Jim.
And my point is the 2017 lineup shows their increased software output
But this is actually simply false
They have this lineup due to two wiiu ports, a wiiu multiplatform game delayed several times and after having completely cancelled any release for wiiu in 9/12 months
Even the Wii had many games thanks to a limited jump in hw performance, Zelda tp multiplatform delayed to be there at launch and a couple of GC games moved to Wii for commercial reasons like Super paper Mario
There is nothing going today reassuring about the software output advantages on Switch compared to the previous generations
Not mentioning the supposed advantage of being an hybrid in terms of possible classic portable Japanese third party support, yet to materialize

Is there any reason Odyssey would be November when Christmas is right around the corner? Feels like perfect title for the holidays.
And yeah, the first year line-up for Switch has definitely been solid.
I could watch Koizumi all day every day.30 minutes?
That's enough for UltraSun/Moon!
People involved in Nintendos hardware supply chain say the Kyoto-based games maker is now targeting Switch hardware production of 18m units for the 12 months ending March 2018.
According to people close to the company, the production increase reflects fears of customer tantrums as Nintendo prepares to release its flagship Mario Odyssey game in November.
30 minutes?
Wouldn't a Kirby Switch game be amazing? Man I just get shivers thinking of Planet Robobot, such a good game.
Adding fuel to the Mario in November fire:

So this is the general look-out of the 2017 line-up. Don't see a general Switch thread so I guess I should post this here, it's kinda relevant to the topic. (Made by me)
For me, it's weird. This looks like a pretty reasonable schedule from August to December. Except, Super Mario Odyssey is the only internally developed game (I guess Xenoblade counts too?) and supposedly development on it has been done for months.
So, Nintendo is only going to release one internally developed game over the span of five months leading into the holidays? Especially with supply constraints, it doesn't seem like they need to release anything else, but still, weird.
Compare to every other system it is the best. Port or not.We have two remasters and one straight port so 3/11 "old" games isn't that bad but it bothers me a bit. Hopefully Smash is the only other remaster.

Oh man, Mario in November would potentially be close to when Scorpio releases. I want to re-create a strange 2013 memory I have. I bought an Xbox One at launch (via Amazon) but grabbed Mario 3D World at Gamestop. Because it was so close to the Xbox launch I picked up Mario and they gave me a free Xbox T-Shirt just because.
They'll also be releasing some first party titles for 3DS in the same time period (Pokemon and the Kirby action title, at least).
There is always the possibility that there is still an unannounced first party title for this fall/holiday as well.
I'd also expect a big 1st party switch title before the end of the fiscal year (by March 31st, 2018).
they gave up at the endSkull Jungle..... LOL
They've had their internal teams working on stuff for so many years that they could conceivably accumulate several near-finished games to trickle out as needed. Pikmin 4 is another game that has supposedly been done for awhile, and I imagine that team has mostly moved on to another project. And we don't know a thing about Pikmin 4, other than it's almost done! Nintendo could drop it anytime they want.
It's a pretty neat strategy, since it allows Nintendo to release at least one first-party published game per month like they have been, while also giving their internal teams plenty of time to work. This gen I think it'll be more of a question of when Nintendo wants to release certain games, not whether their teams have finished them.
Not to try and defend what is most likely and very obviously fake, but I thought that there have been rumours of a 2D Metroid that's 3DS and Switch as well as a Switch-Prime game in development?
What I mean is, that pic is certainly not the first I've heard of that idea.
Its not E3 season until we have the poorly framed/lit fake leak sheet!
Yup, definitely E3 season. MvCI alone should invalidate this thing.
I believe they are referring to an interview with one of Metroid's Japanese producers (I forget his name) that said he'd like to make another Prime game next, but as far as I know there aren't any rumors about it actually existing. There have been rumors of a Metroid being Switch/3DS but nothing specifically about it being a 2D Metroid. I think most insiders have just called it a Metroid title and some have said it's a 3D title.
And I have seen no rumors of a Metroid Prime game.
Tanabe said he has a Prime 4 idea he couldn't get a team together for but he could get a team together for his other idea, Federation Force and that he thinks that worked out for the best as he wanted to flesh out the Metroid universe anyway.I believe they are referring to an interview with one of Metroid's Japanese producers (I forget his name) that said he'd like to make another Prime game next, but as far as I know there aren't any rumors about it actually existing.
Echoing the Robobot love ITT. That game is amazing.
I agree with the idea that Nintendo can and are accumulating several near-finished games - as with Mario Odyssey, for example, which was said to be "considerably finished" in January. With that said, we still don't have any proof Pikmin 4 is currently in the works and was not just an internal codename or mistranslation regarding the fourth Pikmin game, i.e. the 3DS game. NinjaCoachZ has a good post about this.
