Switch hype

Ad was noticeably quieter than other ads. The music bed didn't kick in until the last 10 sec of the ad.Quiet?
Not a single person here noticed it.
Super hyperbole and means absolutely nothing but hmm
Hope for more impact across the board though. Reactions here seems super positive.
They never left, so I'm not sure what that means.Does this mean Nintendo is back at E3?

I didn't even notice it at all.It... did?

Yes? A direct is not the same as a stage show. They went somewhere?
10 years ago I would've never believed that Zelda would be announced in a super bowl ad. This is historic. Good job Nintendo.
"Thought this was a Switch commercial, not a Zelda commercial" was the sentiment from the party I'm at.

It needed to start with the logo and switch sound.

To be fair at launch the two are going hand in hand due to it being THE game.
It showed playing on the tv and on the handheld while cooking instead of interrupting. It did what it had to do.That's exactly how the ad started.
All it showed was Zelda, though...and cooking. It showed cooking.
Not sure how effective it was.

Man, the fact that they are selling this new system with a game they announced only a year after the last system they released tells me everything I need to know.

Arent those the same thing?
It takes a long time to make a game?
Honestly, though...is it even possible to play a game as elaborate as Zelda while actually cooking something (without burning it)?
For many this was an announcement for Zelda. It wasn't announced. Most of us have been aware of the game for years...
Same here. No one cared. Not a single person here noticed it.

Are we watching the same game?I was worried about the boring game hurting Nintendo.
But it looks like Nintendo saved the Super Bowl!
Are we watching the same game?
I think they should have made it a bit clearer what the switch does. It just shows the guy putting it in the dock and it coming on screen then cuts to him playing with the pro controller. Should've shown him removing the joy cons or playing it in tabletop mode.
And for those saying "i've never felt the need to play as soon ad i wake up!" Really? Never been so hooked on a game you want to play it first thing? I have done this countless times and it was always with a Nintendo handheld.
The Patriots killed the Switch
The Switch saved the Pats.
Holy cow.
Are we watching the same game?
well if it takes you almost 5 years to release one damn game maybe don't make another system until you have something?
Have you been watching? It was a miserable game until this quarter.
