Well deserved. Seems to be selling fairly quick.

I really hope he gets less than 50% of the vote as he has done a terrible job.
Cool. No idea what that means though for regional sales
Streets you should make a thread about those numbers before someone else does and uses Google Translate
We know it's sold nearly half a million in Japan. That's about it.
Yes, for sure.Nirolak, would that be appropriate?
Looks like were in for a wild ass ride. Here is a question from the last meeting to give you a sense of the whackiness:
Seems like new news, caveat of sell through or sell in though given it's an investor meeting.Nirolak, would that be appropriate?
At least smartphones are a legitimate business avenue unlike "What about the kids of foreign dignitaries?"
Would you have come up with the Wii? Serious question. That thing made like 10 quadrillion dollars.
"As a company that makes videogames, how do you plan to teach Japanese children English and vice-versa, or tackle global warming?"
Nintendo came up with the Wii under Iwata's leadership. That's pretty much all that matters.Source to Satoru Iwata coming up with the Wii? It sounds more like a project by Hiroshi Yamauchi and Atsushi Asada. In fact, Asada is the one who found the technology in the first place and birthed the "Touch Generations" series of games.
To me the primary issues Nintendo faces are deeply engrained within the company and will only be fixed by a continued concerted effort to change.
They're slowly walking down that path and really whether it's Iwata helming the ship or his hand picked successor won't change much.
Dropping Iwata would mostly be a move by investors to raise pressure/fear in the next CEO but I don't think it would change much outside of making some investors feel better and getting the company to sugarcoat statements more.

Q1: How did E3 go?
A1: Watch this video. 50k industry members attend. Splatoon was introduced. GamePad-centered games Project Giant Robot, Project Guard, and Mario Maker shown. New firmware update makes use of the GamePad. High expectations for NFC figures.
Q2: How about gifts for shareholders?
A2: There are legal limitations on gifts, and we view return to shareholders as monetary. Shareholders who already own gifted products wouldn't be happy.
Q3: When will there be new information on Zelda for Wii U? (audience laughs)
A3: Can't answer until there's an official announcement. (audience laughs) Hyrule Warriors is coming soon. The next official Zelda game will be open-world.
Q4: I don't want there to be a shift from cultivating high-priced products, but there are so many people with smartphones. How will you make use of them?
A4: We are making use of smartphones in development. Not games, but supplementary tools.
Q5: I want to suggest large screens for children. Also, casinos will apparently be legalized in some places, and many people don't know how to play casino games. How about games to teach them?
A5: Thank you for your suggestions. We will take them into consideration.
Q6: Will you be entering the Chinese market?
A6: We already have the iQue brand. Further information to come in the future.

"As a major entertainment company, how do you plan to deal with world hunger?"
"As a company that makes videogames, how do you plan to teach Japanese children English and vice-versa, or tackle global warming?"
Is this a legitimate question? Surely major shareholders don't expect to be given gifts?!
Am I reading a real thing? Here is a question from the last meeting to give you a sense of the whackiness:
I don't understand why some of these people should have any sort of power in a company. I mean asking for games to teach people to play casino games??
My mom played the shit out of Vegas Stakes for Gameboy. She played it until the screen's cover plate fell off.Teaching kids to gamble?
LOL, shareholder.
