Holy shit that's hilarious.![]()
I'm hoping the game itself is good, regardless of the technical issues.

If Mafia III tanks commercially (which it will more than likely will), then you have to wonder what 2K really has in its stable other than R* and Firaxis titles.
Nah bro, no review copies = ET levels of bad games. Here's eight minutes of commentary-free console gameplay. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcZDVeeAZ7o
I still don't think this will be as big when it finally comes out..I have no reason to think so tho so idkyNBA 2K
Borderlands if that transition well into this generation
Bioshock
Hmm..its seems the issue is that targets are scripted to play out with the same scripted falling to knees after being shot animation every time they take a certain amount of damage so that you can get an interrogation scene.![]()

Interrogation targets do 'suffer' from this script, yes. I've unloaded clips into them and they would simply fall to their knees.Hmm..its seems the issue is that targets are scripted to play out with the same scripted falling to knees after being shot animation every time they take a certain amount of damage so that you can get an interrogation scene.
what if I don't like Angry Joe though
now we're back to square one

I didn't mind though. I'm not exactly looking for total realism. If you are, this mechanic would be a turn off.
It seems like there has to be a more elegant way to deal with the player killing the target than that. They stated in an interview that they wanted there to be no fail states other than death so they can't let you kill the interrogation dude and have to restart the mission. They probably should have just did it though because that shit looks weird.
lol tbh that could make for some hilarious free roam 'chaos' videos ;p![]()

Not exactly realism but believability. Realistically a bunch of people wouldn't have the same exact reaction to being shot but it was probably a decision meant to save a little bit of the budget.Interrogation targets do 'suffer' from this script, yes. Wait what? Character customisation isn't in the game from Day 1??? And here I was hoping to make my character really pull off the rags to riches theme with baller suits near the end of the game.Yeah it looks like this still needed a few months to cook. Shit like customization not at launch is pretty telling.
Thinking of cancelling my pre-order for Tomb Raider instead.
That guy not dying or even not falling over from a grenade was the last thing i even noticed in that gif. It seems to be intentional from all the other footage i've seen
But the way the people in the chair just slide backwards while in the seated position is just...lol
Not to mention the black guy that was on his knees just gets up and runs away. lol
Is this confirmed? If so: that's a shame.Yeah it looks like this still needed a few months to cook. Shit like customization not at launch is pretty telling.
Every time I watch it I discover something new.
I like how the plant in the background just randomly explodes after the fact.

People keep bringing up DOOM. Let me tell you something, this game is NOT DOOM. The situations are different enough to make me very concerned about MIII.
DOOM isnt really that ambitious anyway. It is just a refinement of the types of shooters we used to play in the 90s with a new engine. You cant necessarily fuck that up. It is literally a corridor shooter. but that was its strength. It advertised itself as "DOOM". Not "DOOM2016". It didnt try to reinvent the wheel. Doom is great because of this.
MAFIA III on the other hand, is a contemporary open world game. MAFIA has A LOT to LOSE. The game already had stiff competition via the latest GTA title among other open worlders. But it is also releasing around a time where other AAA open worlds are releasing (watchdogs 2).
DOOM didnt and doesnt have much competition either. So it would have always felt "fresh" after so many years of ADS military shooters.
Or you could... not... play it...
In a busy holiday season with lots of seemingly great games coming out, most people aren't going to try it to "see if it's a bad game or not."But then that means that you can't talk about the game in any intelligent sense whatsoever.
So if you decide not to play it, you can't actually say whether it's a bad game or not. Just because people say it's bad game doesn't make it so. And vice versa. I encourage people to play games, even if they don't review well. That is how you find hidden gems.

I'm okay with jank, Sleeping Dogs was a pretty great game despite being janky as fuck, but I'm still not sure I'm on board with Mafia III yet.
Every time I watch a preview video I think "this looks pretty good, but I'm not sure what the gameplay hook is." Sleeping Dogs had stylish and brutal melee combat, Saint's Row had very bizarre weapons and side activities, Watch Dogs had the hacking angle, Assassin's Creed has climbing and stabby gloves, Batman has gliding and being fucking Batman, etc.
I'm not seeing a unique thing that Lincoln can do compared to any other open world protagonist. The setting is cool, but that's not enough for me to justify a day one purchase.

oh wow lol XDEvery time I watch it I discover something new.

oh wow lol XD
i like the chairs too... the way they all shoot back looks like a cartoon where someone is getting hooked off the theatre stage with a cane lol ;p
could be fun in a SKATE sort of way hehe still looking forward the game as long as any bugs are funny
I think it's less about Lincoln's skill set, but more about just telling this revenge story that takes place in 60's New Orleans where people like to look sideways at blacks. Lincoln itself is made to be this efficient, brutal and trained killer because of his military training, "perfect tool of revenge".
Definitely, and I love the idea of playing a racist-killing simulator with a fairly unique backdrop.
Still if the core of the game is brutal gunplay, then I'd expect things like dismemberment and realistic wounds. Lincoln is a Vietnam vet, and a key aspect of that war was the dehumanization of the enemy. With that in mind, I expect to be able to do some pretty heinous shit to the mobsters.

Okay? I didn't realise we were all under obligation to play everything to make sure we all had our own opinionsBut then that means that you can't talk about the game in any intelligent sense whatsoever.

Amazon is giving Prime members $12.00 bucks off the price tag if you preorder tho.
2 weeksthis lasts post release too. you don't have to preorder. I believe it's for one week? or was it two?
2 weeks
It's Doomed.
Why give huge Youtubers early access if they didn't believe in their game? Makes no sense.
Did 2k do this same thing with XCOM 2 and the Bioshock Collection?
In the same boat. About to cancel, I think.Dang. Have this pre-ordered, hopefully I won't regret it. :/
Xcom 2 had a ton of pre-launch coverage in the media and youtube.
