Yeah I noticed this too. If we're talking about the red grass right around him, then the little tops always seemed to be curved left no matter what angle he looked at them from

You can rename at atlas stations of wherever you turn in discoveries.

Afaik you had to enter a menu by yourself to name animals. guess it will be the same for planets.

You definitely won't notice on mobile. He doesn't move around much or look down when he turns. Those are really the only times it becomes noticeable in any game.

I'm talking about the planet though. It looks like it is orange from a distance but once you enter its atmosphere the planet is white.

I'm going to take an educated guess and say that it's from light filtering through different layers of elements in the atmosphere.

No free look in your ship AFAIK. You can apparently swivel your weapons independently though, according to the controls that were posted from the JP demo event. Maybe we'll get free look when/if VR support comes.

Yeah, no. I need to see things about this game so I'm not blindly spending money on it. Certain titles get that respect, and No Man's Sky ain't it just yet.

I won't be spoiling myself on heavy shit, but there are quibbles and questions not answered by the presented footage. Too bad.
