No Man's Sky Spoiler Thread

he was the only one reporting the bugs from what I can see, so could just be him. Unless the patch they are releasing is the rest of the game? idk

Nah, I've seen the bugs/issues he's mentioned in other streams. So either they all mysteriously has this "leaked copy" that looks exactly like the game box that's on the way to their retailers, or he's doing damage control.

IDK what to believe :(

Actually, he's following them. Twitter is lying to me.

I think it's fake.

This has to be the most amazing pre-release madness that I have EVER seen. Fake Twitter accounts? Man it's too much. I think I already got my 60 bucks worth.

That galaxy cloud was dense as fuck, but the streamer thinks each color shift is a different galaxy. I'm pretty sure he's wrong, as galaxies are very far apart.

I think he just doesn't realize how many stars are in a galaxy. Additionally, hopefully everyone heard him say that you don't have to stick to a linear path to the centre. Finally, I wish he would have gone all the way to the centre and then further, so we could put the shape of the galaxy question to rest.

Yeah the whole "he only has half the size of the game", should have been a clear sign, silly me for even wondering. It doesn't make sense, it's not like bug fixes and some few features are going to double a game like this, especially when most of it is audio. Additionally, how this person would know would be very difficult, I had one guess but it was a reach.

Basically, super weird. This game is getting a really... Special sort of cult following

Reminder - Skyrim was 3.7gb on console. "Frontier", back in the 90s (which had massive galaxies) fit on one 0.7mb (0.0007gb) floppy disc.

I can not even install my steam copy and I already would have had more entertainment from this game than most 60 dollar releases.

Don't think people are worried about the actual size of the game, more the size of what the guy streaming has installed vs the size that the game was advertised to be.

ie; he has 4.2 GB installed, the game's install size is said to be 6 GB.

Probably doesn't make much difference but I think that is the concern

A pic of that ship that I found posted by imfromthepast on Reddit :)

Fucking YES. Asymmetrical ships confirmed. I don't know why but I LOVE asymmetrical spaceships.

The original streamer had a 4.2gb install. The 6gb figure comes from a fake account, it appears.

Excited for my copy on saturday. But all these rumours/fakes are getting me more and more excited for some reason. :/

Has anyone seen or talked about dense forest type planets? Only thing I really haven't seen.
I think the really dense paradise planets only take up like 1% of the planets are something like that. I think people will have to find portals to take them there because finding one organically by just flying from planet to planet is probably quite rare.

I hope portals do something more than simply transfer you to a planet closer to the center of the galaxy. There's already black holes that do that.

If I remember correctly, in a recentish interview he said portals take you somewhere special, or somewhere where you might find something special/unique. I may be misremembering.

However, if I'm not, I wonder if the game is able to somehow observe what we would think is a "special" location? It might also just mean that it takes you somewhere that has some bonus or side quest of interest. Or I could be remembering entirely wrong.
