No Man's Sky Spoiler Thread

I think that was a joke, my man!

There's a perfectly good reason why that is likely not a fake. There's an algorithm running in the background that makes sure colours are coordinated on planets or contrasted in aesthetically pleasing ways. What I think that Tweet means is they've found a way of creating more colour combinations on one planet (or creature/ship/gun) that still retains a sense of 'design'.

I think that is a volcano in the distance.

edit: Or some space cloud. :(

Remember when people thought that the speed of walking around that was shown in the trailers and demonstrations was going to be the only speed there was?

See if that was me, I would've simply continued playing. Try and find a new ship or a space station, even if it was 2 hours away.

God, this game~

He loaded his last save, but his ship is still underwater and damaged. I think he is looking for an outpost to call his ship to it.

Pshhh

I would've abandoned ship.

I can't wait to see what the patch does.

I hope this game is like Minecraft in that they just keep adding to it. That'd be so awesome. I hope it does well for Hello Games~

No, it would have been there regardless.
You're saying that everything is calculated from the get-go and the game just renders things as you approach them.

So what if there was no outpost anywhere near him? Surely there's a fail-safe mechanism like respawing at the last visited space station when you're stranded on a planet because your ship is stuck under water :P

Just put this stream on. How tall is this mountain>? I can't tell with the fog. It looks much bigger than anything i've seen previously.

Edit: That's pretty tall.

He would walk until he found one. Planets are huge so it may take a while at times.

There's always going to be a way off a planet but it didn't spawn it there because he was walking there, he just happened to be walking in the right direction.

Call me a sadist but I'd love it if there were things to find with a very low chance of being discovered, like a million to one chance or a thousand to one chance.
