No Man's Sky Spoiler Thread

Dude. I can't wait. This game is going to serve me well. What do we know of ship controls? Is there barrel rolling? Not expecting Elite levels of control, but I hope I can fly through canyons and roll so my canopy is against the ground.

Just watching streams makes me forger the negative stuff. I just don't care about how long it takes or the pop in. Game looks so much fun to play and get lost in

So people were up in arms earlier in the thread because they thought the centre of the galaxy was it in terms of progression.

If you start in a new galaxy with all your stuff after that then it sounds like that's just the next chapter.

I bet there's a tonne more to do/discover.

Obviously most people are going to stop at the end of the first galaxy. It's smart they put that in there for a 30-40 hour experience.
Not really, people have already surmised that you progress through a number of galaxies when the leaker said he'd finished the first by getting to the centre of it and travelled to another.

The big questions are, do galaxies scale in terms of difficulty, to do keep your progress when you travel to the next one, and are the galaxies set out in such a way that your progress is gated and everyone gets the same galaxy progression or is it random.

The thing people we 'up in arms about' was the disparity between the games use, or lack of, the word universe.

I'm about 20 mins into this and I have to say saber is remarkably bad at this. Still enjoyable. They won't leave the planet. Looks very nice.

@geek

I think he just flew on the sun side of the planet.

Yeah he's not the best, but maybe it's just some young kid who happened to get his hands on it early. I couldn't imagine having a game this incredible when I was young.

I think it's a kid, he/she just renamed a discovery "mouldy eggs" if they were older they would have gone for something more mature like "mouldy testicles"

The right stick is what you use to control the camera, if anything, there's more risk of accidentally pressing that in as opposed to the stick used for movement.

No way - you rarely need to turn while sprinting, so R3 is perfect. Sprinting usually reduces rotate sensitivity, it's a forward-vector motion. Not to mention the left stick gets a lot more force applied because as you say it's the primary stick for movement.

Anyway, there's no resolution to this. Let's call it a day.

I watched Kengi01 stream for a couple hours last night and my god it's beautiful. Some of the vistas have been gorgeous.

Is there actual footage of reaching the center?

Sorry not able to keep up with the thread, and all the links being posted :(

So did they do away with the grass and actually tress in the game? Not a complaint but most of all the planets I have seen in stream do not show any thing like the old photo below. Either that or I am just missing those streams.

You're missing those streams. Retrodigital has found some very luscious planets.

There's been several worlds with lush grass and trees on the streams.

Alright, ever one I have seen the ground just has some mushrooms, or weird plants, but nothing like that photo. Was hoping we could still find places covered in grass and lots of trees.
