No Man's Sky Spoiler Thread

He seems to have been able to upgrade his mining laser? Upgrading is still mysterious, but I'm not seeing daymeeuhns mining bug with other people

Is it making a difference? Daymeeuhn was able to upgrade, just wasn't making a difference or was actually making things worse.

Appreciate this guy zeroing in on his objective to repair the ship. That's exactly how I expect to play, setting myself weird little challenges to obsess over on each planet.

I just want to know for sure, one week away!

I'm wondering if there's more to it than that though. You'd think if each thing increases by about one slot each time then having the slots just laid out evenly would make the most sense, but they're not, they're broken up randomly. I wonder if some things affect other things when placed below or above? That would give us a reason to find a better layouts for certain upgrades instead of just stacking.

These stream make me want the game so much more.
I am confident Hello games will try their best to make this game better than it can be.

Someone ask him if it's 60fps. He might know.

I just asked; it's 60. I've known it's been 60fps for a long time, but here is the confirmation!

Interesting. That's how I'm seeing it too but I didn't know about that dialogue. Does that suggest the following galaxies are unique to you or perhaps that you can change the next galaxy for everyone? I just want to get my hands on this game because right now I can't stop watching people playing it.

Well this is the spoiler thread:

...snip...

It looks like you have options, and maybe the next galaxy can be created without your hand making any changes. If that happens, I imagine that everyone who chooses that option would have the same next seed.

This is all pretty cool, and I don't regret seeing that since it goes to show how reaching the end/center of one galaxy might only be the beginning, but I still feel it takes away from the community aspect of it all... especially if there is opportunity to generate unique galaxies... then discovering something will serve no perpose at all, IMO.

It should be like this:

- we should all be exploring the same galaxy (sounds like one would be far more than enough)
- we should be able to see what regions have and have not been explored, and what %
- we should be able to view the online database of discoveries, even rate discoveries of other people

It's a damn shame the game isn't structured this way at all...

There are entire community websites already created, long ahead of release, in anticipation of sharing our discoveries with each other. Are those sites even valid given how the game has turned out? Actually, maybe more so since there may be ZERO feedback about other people's discoveries in the actual game itself.

So this is a developer saying that the version being played now is NOT the final version of the game, or even close?

Does this apply to everyone who is streaming the game, or just that one guy?

Perhaps the retail disc only contains 3gb of data that was set in stone and the other 3gb will be part of the day one patch? That's the only way it would make sense unless absolutely zero of these copies were intended for retail, and let's be real I'm sure a few have mysteriously vanished from shipments here and there.

he was the only one reporting the bugs from what I can see, so could just be him. Unless the patch they are releasing is the rest of the game? idk

You don't need a BD-ROM for 3GB of disc space though.

There seens to be some differences between the first daymeum streams and the ones we are having right now. That one was the "leaked" copy Sean must be refering to. These streams now are from the retail copy. Its what I can figure out from all this insanity.

Maybe the devs can see info on all players who are online with the game, like version info. And maybe the disc the dude has is of an old version, which was only 3gb, pre a bunch of features/bugs

Edit: sounds more like they don't consider the pressed game the full game, and the day one patch doubles it's size? The current streamer only had 4gb install size

Edit: or most likely, not legit?
