No NES games in ANIMAL CROSSING DS???!!!?!

I think this is a random Nintendo bitch thread someone created . The news that there wont be NES games on Animal Crossing DS isn't even new. It's over a month old.

Everyone here, regardless of whether you think the NES games are valuable or not, seem to agree that the good thing about them, was that they gave you something to work towards. Most of you obviously haven't PLAYED the NES games much after collecting them. What's wrong with having something else to work towards collecting, if you're not gonna play the NES games much anyway? I'm absolutely sure they won't make the game completely pointless. They'll have things to work towards. That's what we all want. Pro-NES games or not.
i never really worked towards the NES games specifically... and never really played them either, but just knowing they aren't there still upsets me...

i think it's a dumb idea to remove them, unless the GB games idea is their replacement...

it's a feature that we have grown accustomed to in the game even if we don't use it, and it's removal is only a detriment...

Really? i didn't find it unless my search skillz are terrible (which i think i do) but not bitching at nintendo is like not naggin on your wife when she serves you tuna casserole on tuesdays instead of the usual angus beef steak........

i think it's very good if they includes all Game & watches games in NDS Animal crossing. Any one feel it too?

Nah, AC was never about the NES games. Besides, until we know what will be put in to replace it, it's a bit early to say anything else.

Animal Crossing DS sales -1,000,000 ?
Anyway, I'll buy this game, loved first one (not only because there was NES games). :D

It's about bringing collect-a-thon to the next level!

Not even that, although collecting is a major part. It's about living in a virtual playground with little chores and none of the problmes of real life, like the need to get a job, wife, divorce, kids etc.

There are little hooks in the game to motivate players, like needing to pay off the house, or simply wanting to finish a task before saving for the day but nothing that makes the game feel like a job, something MMORPGs like FFXI tend to evolve into once people get together and decide to 'farm' notorious monstors for several hours everyday.

I admit though that I play in bursts and I don't always visit my town, but whenever I catch the AC bug, I collect a bit more furniture and catch a few more bugs and get to participate in the game's many events. I think it'll take me a few more years to finish collecting everything.

I didn't really want an explanation, Animal Crossing is my most hated game of all time (although obviously I agree with nothing here, as everything in AC feels tedious and like a chore, so our perspectives differ). I'm just trying to annoy you. ;)

It didn't work :lol The killer feature that was missing in AC was on-line and it's always been my #1 gripe, because for a game that's supposed to take at least 1 full year to enjoy and for most people several years to truly unlock, on-line comes in handy so that Nintendo can come in and update the festivals, add new graphics, new items, allow users to swap items and textures. The current AC gets a bit static after you've gone through the same festival a few times. It's the same every year and the events become predictable and scripted.

Allowing the game to go on-line, even if its in a limited fashion allows for for dynamic play and events, as well as friends visiting your towns virtually, which is nice. The fact that this is confirmed will make AC DS is a very dynamic and major title, IMHO. Probably the next big killer-app on-line DS title next to Mario Kart. As for you not liking Animal Crossing, my condolences.

Hey man, no need - it's cool, brother. Apparently my life is relatively stress-free, since I can't find it in me to like crappy collect-a-thons "with little chores and none of the problems of real life, like the need to get a job, wife, divorce, kids etc." I also find that the desire to write letters to real people greatly outstrips my desire to write letters to fake animals who never understand a single word you say - ever! Additionally, digging for fossils, catching bugs and going fishing are greatly overrated (except for the last one, but fishing in real life is an actually fun minigame!)

This makes me happy! Also, it means I have good taste! ;)

i guess this is because nintendo now intends to milk their fanbase for NES games on the Revolution's download service. why give the games to us for free when they can make us pay for each one?

Based on your post history, I wouldn't be so sure about that ;)

Animal Crossing is a GameCube game and can be played on the Revolution. Probably also the same reason why they want to spurce up the rev downloads, which is great.

Aw man, you goin' out like that? I thought I picked a good person to tease. "Based on your post history...", I mean, how cheap and dull is that? At least provide examples of this so-called offensive game taste so we can argue! Discuss how I dislike Pokemon and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, or how shitty I find Xenogears...

Just watch: "Well, Deku, based on your post history you like Animal Crossing - so that is worth a billion sins for whatever I liked, friend!"

I mean, see? Look how weak that was.

Nah, liking AC isn't something to be ashamed of and it is on many GAF want lists too, so you'd have plenty of people to insult and potentially have flame wars with. Getting toasted defending Memory Stick prices was pretty hilarious though. But it's nice that you've pulled back since then and play the passive agressive fanboy type with dignity.

Getting toasted on Memory Stick prices? Oh, you mean this thread where I was confirmed correct (with sources), and how you and Deg stealthily slinked out of the topic when you realized that we were discussing Memory Sticks not costing 10x more? I remember that.

And now that's the ticket, accusations of fanboyism. Didn't take long for you to get all clammed up, did it? Now it's your turn to say you're not really annoyed, and make some bizarre excuses! I await with arms crossed.

:lol Slink out? Reread the thread. It was a play-yan discussion that got derailed to memory stick discussion thanks to your nice posts before moving to something else... after you stopped posting about play-yan. It ended with you proving someone wrong that memory sticks aren't 10x more, but they are still more expensive.

I didn't know you kept score, I simply recalled it was a hilarious incident involving lots 'redefinitions' of the discussion for you to get out of it with what I suppose you define as a victory. There was nothing more for me to say really. If you define not having the last word as slinking, then you're trolling intentions are even more apparent.

I think it's time for you to boot up Animal Crossing and forget those annoying worries like posters on a video game message board on the internet. :lol

P.S. don't cross those arms, come on now, open arms. Let's forget your indignance about being called out for being a troll in a thread about a game which you say you hate.
A failed troll is still a troll. My standards are THAT low.

g'night.

Keep score? Man, you're the one who brought it up! I simply thought my position was to correct you on what actually happened, as it appeared you forgot. I wouldn't want my poor friend with amnesia to go through life not remembering the factual accounts of different events :(

I prefer to spend my leisure time with something actually good, like Earthbound or Pikmin 2.
