Can someone rank the Phoenix Wright games for me? I want to know which game I should buy first.
Uh, the first? It is an one-going storyline after all.CurseoftheGods said:Can someone rank the Phoenix Wright games for me? I want to know which game I should buy first.

:lolivysaur12 said:Just beat the first trial. Already better than anything in PW2.
EDIT: Oh, and "we know whose milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" and "she doesn't poop!" were geniusly placed.
ninj4junpei said:Case 2 was amazing, but goddamn was it frustrating. Toward the end I had to trial and error just about everything. I knew what they wanted but didn't know how. For examplewhen I had to find the contradicition in the blackmail. I had to use the article? WTF! I guess I see why but still.
I guess you are better at thinking like the devs than I am. :\thefro said:I actually had no trouble at all in this game until Case 4 and thought it was a lot more straightforward on that front than the last two games.
ivysaur12 said:Ugh, ok, I'm forcing myself through the last case of PW2 before I go any further. The last part of the last case isn't bad, it's just that I made it so far and then lost, it's a pain to do everything again.
Zeed said:Third is the best, no question.
The first game is also really really good.
The second was okay. It had a lot of great moments but fell short of the first.
I would still play them in order though, since nothing else will make much sense.

As much as I love the 4th case in JFA, it goes on too long for my liking. It's my favorite probably so far, but it's not one that I would pick up and play as much as others.A Link to the Snitch said:You're only through Case 1 and decided that it's better than the fourth one of JfA?
Thats funny. I was the complete opposite. Walked into EB. 2 Steps in: Hey can I help you find something? I asked for Phoenix Wright 3. By the time I got to the counter the lady had it waiting, and I handed my cash as I stepped to the register. Paid with exact change within 4 or 5 seconds, and left. In and out in less than a minute. Fastest GS trip ever.:lolakenatone said:can't find this thing. hell, today i went to an EB that showed they have it on their computer, they were looking for it for a good 15 minutes and couldn't find it. I had to leave cause i was working, i'll try tomorrow.
Dice said:Oh man, I just finished the first case and it was sooo good. I must own the other two as well.
Dice said:Why?
If it has to do with spoilers, I don't care.
If it has to do with the other not being quite as good, I've handled that with other games (Capcom fan here).
If it has do do with essential knowledge from previous games to fully appreciate this one, it may add some replay value!
What madness is this? The music so far has been great.Emerson said:OK, I finished the game a while back, and my original position stands. The cases and overall story of this game are the best in the series, by far. However, I did not have as much fun playing it as I did the original, due, like I said, mainly to the music.
Tsubaki said:I don't see why case 5 is loved so much. Way too contrived for the sake of being so. Ugh.
PepsimanVsJoe said:I wanted to stab my face in response to all of them. Absolutely terrible.

Pureauthor said:The Phoenix Wright series exists on horribly contrived situations that no one in his/her right mind in the real world would ever believe happened. I hardly find Case 5 specific to such a criticism, nor is it even close to being the worse of the lot.

Tsubaki said:While I would say some of the cases threw in previous characters for tribute/amusement, case 5 is pretty serious and the linking everyone and their mother to the case was in bad weeaboo taste.
Case 4 was way more successful at it, and is the primary reason I hold PW3 in such high regard.

Well, aren't you nice. :\ I suppose I should feel honored to be ignored over something so trivial.PepsimanVsJoe said:Oh hey Ninj4jumpei thanks for the reminder! My ignorelist welcomes you to the party...
