Normal New 3DS coming to the US with Happy Home designer bundle

Guys, I am so excited for tomorrow. My patients paid off. I waited and waited... and NoA pulled through (sort of).

This is false. Amazon even states to select two day shipping to get release date delivery.

Otherwise, you can always check out Amazon France or Amazon Italy if you have an Amazon account - just login with your usual account and order like usual. The other option is getting it off Play-Asia or Nin-Nin Games if you don't go the Amazon route.

I never saw that message in regards to this package. Amazon stated on the page that they didn't know when it would arrive, until they suddenly said that overnight shipping would get release day delivery. I paid for overnight shipping, and I'm getting release-day delivery.
 
It's so dumb that Nintendo isn't releasing this in Mexico. WTF, Nintendo :[ Oh well, I bought it from Amazon US and had to pay ~$58 USD for shipping. Such is life.
I won't be upset once I have it in my hands :P

Yep they price match provides it's sold by Amazon.

Anyways, paid off my bundle at Gamestop so I'll pick it up after work tomorrow. FE plates are inbound on Saturday and the rest of my face plates should be trickling in over the next few weeks. Excite!

You're paying $3.99 too much then. If you looked at it just a few days ago, it would have said this:

Go check out Fallout 4 for an example. The 3DS bundle said this earlier but not when it first went up. Anyone who did order it with 2 day shipping automatically gets bumped up to release date shipping. You should never ever have to select overnight to get release date shipping. I did normal 2 day prime shipping and it's shipped and scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Same with MGS5, and every preorder I've ever done. So, ya, you paid too much.

I own both the original 3DS and a 3DSXL. Gaming on the original was fine but painful after long sessions, due to how small the system was. As much as I enjoy the bigger size of the XL, I find it a bit awkward to hold strangely enough (my hands are on the smaller side).

When the n3DS was announced, I wanted it more than the XL due to it being bigger than the original yet smaller than the XL. A friend of mine imported the regular model and when I got to hold it, I knew it was the one for me as it was "just right".

I haven't used any of them and I also have smaller hands. Looking at the smaller N3DS but don't really want it to have that animal crossing plate. Guess I'll have to customize if anything

Nothing wrong with giving someone sound advice. Most of us here in this thread like the small model more, but the XL is still a fantastic system.

I've had that happen to me once, with ALBW. Luckily I caught it early enough to contact support and they fixed it for me.
 
My system would end up coming from the east coast. Looks like I'll get it by next Wednesday. Not too worried, I waited this long.

Ergonomically, the smaller n3DS just seemed to fit my hands better- it really was like a Goldilocks moment when I got a chance to hold it. You can also always check the size of the n3DS XL at like Target, Wal-Mart or Gamestop if you want an idea of how big the system is.

As for customizing, luckily you can get other face plates off Amazon, eBay, Play-Asia, etc. so you don't have to stick with the AC ones.
 
About to head over to GameStop for the NBA midnight release. Hope they sell this to me. I never got a call to pick it up tomorrow.

Nope. I popped on to my Orders page earlier tonight to make sure it was still coming, since I hadn't received a shipping notification, and saw that it got delayed. Customer support upgraded me to free one day shipping though, so at least I'll get it on Monday.
 
GameStop is mobbed as if a new console is launching. Well, technically it is but I'm the only person here for it. Also the only white guy lol

NBA hype is strong right now.

EDIT: I'm in Group 11. It's crazy out here.

That sucks. I take it you don't live on a major area where Saturday delivery would work?
 
Technically there are the same number of pixels. The pixels are just different sizes. :)

I really enjoyed the look of the original 3DS, but the glossy screen made it extremely difficult to use while outdoors. I couldn't see anything while playing Smash Bros when I tried to play outside at lunchtime.

I highly doubt it. The slightly worse PPI is nothing compared to the vastly superior LCD panels used. The contrast and sharpness is significantly improved.

Can you confirm if the system comes with white cover plates in addition to the 2 AC ones? Also, is the game pre-installed, or download code?

EDIT: Just found the answer elsewhere. Game is included as a download code. No white cover plates included.
 
For those wondering, AC: HHD comes as a code. The system doesn't come with white cover plates.

Well, this sucks. I can't link my Nintendo Network ID because it's linked to the 3DS that I got rid of. Guess I have to call Nintendo. Hopefully they can help.

I want to play my entire collection on it, lol. It's going to be an extra awesome upgrade for me because my launch system is a bit defective in that the upper screen is super warm and it's always been less bright than every other 3DS I've compared it to.
 
With the game being a voucher I'm wondering if that means we'll get the free Home Theme with it. The MH4 systems had the unfortunate problem that the preinstalled game didn't count as an eShop "purchase" so people who bought that system didn't get the exclusive theme.
 
So huh... something came up and I gotta leave town right now, so won't be able to pick my system up tomorrow -_-

does anybody know for how long GameStop holds onto your pre-order? 24h? And what happens if the period ends and they end up selling it? Do I lose the $ I put towards it?

You'll have to explain that one to me since his post was about how sharp the menus look and he didn't mention the size of the system at all. Guess we have different definitions for obvious, I use to mean something that's clearly spelled out while you use it to mean something you've pulled out of your butt.

The last Friday release I ordered from Amazon was Pokemon ORAS, and I ended up going to GameStop to pick up one version and returning Amazon's copy of it because I didn't get them til Monday. Despite shipping it out too late to get here on release day, they also didn't set it for possible weekend delivery. No longer do I order things that come out on Fridays from Amazon lol.
