Might get Setsuna if they release a physical version.
Every time I think back to the glorious Gamecube launch line-up I feel like crying when looking at a list like that. That's an ABYSMAL launch lineup.
I'd argue every single other Nintendo system has had a better launch.
I am stunned by everything switch related. I bought a fuckin' Wii U at launch and even I'm not touching this.
You and me both. I bought the wii U at launch as well, but even this is just too much for me to put up with. I guess nintendo found my breaking point.
I will probably buy it in 2019 when the Shin Megami Tensei game gets localized after its Japanese launch in 2018
Nintendo have become pathologically obsessed with recapturing the Wii zeitgeist and it is NOT. HAPPENING. Ever.
According to Nicalis, Redout is also at launch.
It's launching with the largest and possibly best Zelda game ever made and people are calling it abysmal... oh neogaf.
First party? They ditched the Wii U halfway through, delayed this thing "for it to be ready" and it's launching with one of the worst line-ups ever.
I mean... Not everyone is into Zelda. It's launching with the largest and possibly best Zelda game ever made and people are calling it abysmal... oh neogaf.
I get to play zelda so I don't care. Name one system that had a game that looks this fantastic at or near launch? What?! One single-player game doesn't cut it nowadays. I don't see how anyone can look at the launch lineup and not consider it terrible overall.

Go back and look at what those launched with. This is far worse imoIt's not a good line up, but anyone saying it's the worst ever is crazy. It's not even the worst launch between the last two Nintendo home consoles.

Yeah I think the third party support from the west will be lackluster again. That really hurt the Wii U and looks to be a problem again. They really are. PS4 and Xbox one had big 3rd party games to fall back in when they launched. AC,Battiefield, madden, NBA, cod
Didn't they delay it to have a launch line up?
Whatever happened to Smash Bros.?
It's not even in the plans.
I did. In fact, I bought one early on. Nothing of note except NSMB and a port of Sonic Racing. The rest was ports of games that were literally over a year old at that point and stuff people forgot existed before the year ended. The only new game that's a hidden gem from that launch is Nintendoland, and that still wasn't worth the asking price until they bundled a Wii controller in with it.Go back and look at what those launched with. This is far worse imo
E3.Whatever happened to Smash Bros.?

Bomberman and Zelda day one.
Jesus that's a terrible launch lineup. What the hell happened? The rumours suggested a solid lineup but almost all the good games aren't ready for launch.
Wouldn't shock me of Nintendo threw Indies under the bus and we start seeing launch indie games announced between now and March.According to Nicalis, Redout is also at launch.
I think Nintendo is saving a ton of announcements for E3 and a bunch of software for the holidays. I think overall the launch window is decent, but I do think they should have teased more projects that are further out.

Yeah don't understand why they couldn't clean up a bunch of Wii U games for this...You really think the launch window is decent? Some people are easily pleased!
I was fully expecting minimal launch titles from Nintendo, but assumed Wii U ports would be coming like every month to fuill out the line up, doesnt seem to be the case.
Between launch and E3 from Nintendo we have Zelda, Mario Kart and some mini games....this is pathetic. First impressions are everything imo, if this looks awful out of the gate, it's gonna take a miracle to correct. They managed it with the 3DS, couldn't with the Wii U, can they do it now?

Zelda, Bomberman, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Sonic Mania, Mario Kart, ARMS, Splatoon 2, and a few others I'm forgetting.
Yeah, to me, that's decent.

I wouldnt call Splatoon 2 launch window (summer), but thats just me.
Plus when every other console has dozens of games a month, the Switch looks barren in comparison right now.
I don't understand why they aren't flooding the system with Wii U ports at launch. They would have had enough time to prepare and port their library of good games, that many people haven't played yet:
They really missed an opportunity here.
- Super Mario 3D World
- New Super Mario Bros. U
- Smash Bros
- Super Mario Maker
- Wind Waker and Twilight Princess
- Splatoon 1 (maybe too much of a competitor to Splatoon 2)
- Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade (with support from these third parties)
- ...
Just curious what are we considering the launch window? One month? 3 months? A year? Regardless, that list is a mixed bag. If I didn't have a Wii U already that list of games would look a lot more impressive.Zelda, Bomberman, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Sonic Mania, Mario Kart, ARMS, Splatoon 2, and a few others I'm forgetting.
Yeah, to me, that's decent.
