Could NEVER find that fucking Juggernaut anywhere.

But my true answer

I mean look at this thing! That'd be like strapping a G-Sync Monitor, and THX speakers on your PS4 controller today

I had the Handy Gear for my game gear, which was the game gear equivalent of that. Except it wasn't nearly as rad. It basically was just a water proof case for your game gear with a screen magnifier.

A few things I always wanted and never got:

You remember this thing? This bike would apparently stop at NOTHING. It would bounce off any obstacle and keep running.

A REAL Tamagotchi instead of a bootleg...

One of these incredibly USELESS things. A friend had one and it was the dopest shit at the time.

Wrist watch with integrated TV remote. Holy shit.

A little OT but this thread has me reminiscing how bad I wanted a pair of these

I had a pair, and they weren't all that. Just made the shoes a little tighter around my feet.

As for fashion, i loved how having a Raiders starter hat and jacket meant you were the baddest mofo back in middle school. Thanks Ice Cube.

And those LCD game watches. I had like 8 of those things during my middle school years, and every fucking one of them ended up confiscated by my teachers.

Mine was the transformer watch. Looking back, it was a huge piece of shit. That goes for a lot of transformers stuff really. I like them in a nostalgic way, but compared to current tf toys they are straight up 4 points of articulating trash. lol

Definitely had that bike thing. I don't remember if I had a bootleg tamagotchi or not, was something from Toys R Us.

I remember when the rich jerks started getting GeForce 3s to play high resolution counterstrike at 100 fps. Also, Radeon 8500s for warcraft 3 :( I was stuck with a integrated card on a gateway computer for a while until I got a Dell and started switching out the graphics cards.

A kid in my neighborhood had one of these. Made me super jealous. He never let anyone else play with it either.

This one time he bounced it off a curb and hit my friend Carlos in the balls.

Why are the kids who have the coolest toys always the biggest assholes?

Man, that intro was so much better.

I remember microwaving milkshakes and hamburgers and watching this shit with my sister and brother and mom and dad on weekends.

Speaking of which, anybody else remember microwave milkshakes? They were milkshakes that you fucking microwaved.

I remember micromagic stuff used to actually taste really good

As soon as I had the money after getting my first job.

Cost more than my first PC. I loved that camera.

Also taking 'nostalgia porn' literally I tracked down and watched Deep Throat, Debbie Does Dallas, The Devil in Miss Jones, and Behind The Green Door as these were legendary when I was old enough to know and too young to see.

you had to microwave it because it was a frozen block of ice otherwise. You'd like microwave it for 45 seconds to make it mushy and soft.

It had a weird texture, though. Like kind of like real fine oatmeal.

The french fries were so good.

I always wanted a SEGA Nomad because the idea of a portable Genesis was amazing to me as a kid.

Of course, you can have that entire generation of consoles and games in a portable now, so we're way better off today.

One of our local video game shops had a Sega Channel adapter in their store within the last couple years, looked pretty neat but it's such a useless thing to have now. I'm sure someone still bought it eventually.

...

Honestly what was mindblowing to me was when my parents got DirecTV in '98, prior to that we only had regular old cable that had like 20 channels tops, and now we had a small satellite dish attached to the house, a receiver box to each of the three TVs in the house, and like 100 channels with new ones being added over time. So many options for things I never even knew existed. Satellite TV was no joke back then.

Also remember even earlier than that going to my grandparents house and they had one of those huge 12 foot dishes that was controlled from indoors, if they wanted to watch something else on a different satellite they moved the dish. You could look out into their yard and see this bigass dish slowly scanning the sky, it was mesmerizing as a kid.
