He's the one that created DSFix.Why are people mentioning durante?
Or it is some joke that I'm not getting?
If it's anything like the other DS games, doesn't going past 30FPS cause physics issues like ladders not working correctly?
He's the one that created DSFix.
The touch of miyazaki/a-team.Dark Souls 2 PC was 60 fps. Why would they go backwards and lock this one?
PC players will get mad or start summoning Durante already
No chance it'll be capped (not locked, can't set a minimum) at 30.

He sure is. DSFix unlocks the framerate to 60.Yes, but he isn't the one that unlocked the framerate.
That does not make sense Tas there are parts of the release Gamersyde trailer that run @ 60fps.
I call FUD.
That does not make sense as I am pretty sure there are some small sequences in parts of the released Gamersyde trailer that run @ 60fps.
I call FUD.
Can't believe that. Would be too backwards after Dark Souls 2, but they can keep it if that truly is the case.
eah From Software's trailers have never been misleading befo- http://www.gamersyde.com/hqstream_dark_souls_ii_tgs_trailer-30829_en.html
Oh.
...Oooohh.
I feel like FUD could use some rebranding. There's an element of 'outrage' that should fit in there somewhere.
I apologize for not being much of a help.
Calm down vince. That was a different thing.
Downgrading the game's internal lighting and shadowing rendering =/ arbitrarily locking the game @ 30 fps when its prequel did not.
Maybe because of all of the issues it caused. Having equipment break down at twice the rate is why I stopped playing it and now that it's fixed, I have no desire to go back to it
60fps is obviously not their priority with this game and I hope people don't get their hopes up.
What does this even mean? We are talking about a PC game. They just flip the switch and let people's hardware dictate the frames they get. Locking it to 30fps is just being a shitty developer for no reason.
Welp I take back what I said then. From DSfix 1.6 release notes, the version which first featured the ability to unlock the framerate.
"Option to unlock the framerate. Thanks to the hard work of Clément Barnier, the framerate can now be unlocked completely."
Not going to try and say that Durante didn't play a major role in it, but there were other people who played a pivotal role in it as well.
its a possibility that should not come as a surprise
BB was 30 fps no? and if they are using that as a target, then you could see a 30fps on console and modded/native 60fps on pc
Knowing a max framerate can simplify a lot of programming, especially with regards to physics. It also reduces the animation size. What goes through the mind of a publisher/developer when they consider locking the FPS on PC ?

Once again, Souls 1 was locked to 30 and unlocking it can have consequences with the actual game because they tie things to the frame rate.
Gameplay is based on framerate (30fps or so in this regard). IIRC turning on 60fps in DS1 sped up the game's logic by double.
I'll kill someone if the game has durability locked to the framerate again. I swear I'll do it.
