With so many potentially great games on the horizon. Not enough hours in a day, wish I could take my sweet time with every single one of them.

I didn't have City Skylines 2on my radar, that looks like a nice comfy game for the fall season. I might pick up the Flight Simulator as well, because some fellow gaffer reminded me, that it exists in the xbox. FF16 and Starfield are also guaranteed day 1 purchases.

I only have a PS5, but it I feel like Sony's show was a bit underwhelming this time around. Still have a huge backlog to get through so it's not that big of a deal. Microsoft definitely showed more stuff that piqued my interest, but only Starfield had real gameplay so...not quite enough to get me to buy the box yet.

Jesus. Baldur's Gate 3 is coming in 2.5 months and since it wasn't in any of these shows, though did do previews for publications. It has no hype relative to the games in the shows and is probably fucked.

There are about 3 times as many games that I am interested in at a day 1 level than I could possibly play and I have a backlog of 2023 games already. Some of these games are going to fail to meet expectations and it will be the fault of whoever said, go ahead and release it 2 weeks after Starfield and a couple of weeks before Spider-Man.

Going in I was most excited to see Fable and I’ve been very disappointed by what I saw. It’s a long way away and I’m not sure I’m liking what I’ve seen.

It’s probably the most down I’ve felt about the upcoming slate I’ve ever been and I consider myself an optimist.

I’m most disappointed that Sony didn’t show more of their single player games. They tend to be the core of what I look for and then I supplement my purchases around them.

Nothing changed pretty much. I'm most excited about Starfield just like before. And Cyberpunk DLC, FF16 and Space marine 2.

If we're really talking about new games announced in the showcases that we didn't know about, i guess Star Wars Outlaws is the most intriguing. Then i'd mention Clockwork Revolution, Metaphor Re Fantazio, perhaps Sand Land or Path of the Goddess, but i can't say i'm excited.

Lies of P demo sold me on the game in September. Fable trailer made me excited that it is still in development and was not cancelled.

Theres also Ghostrunner 2 and Dragons Dogma 2 which do interest me, but i've yet to play the original of both.

Avatar and starfield for the foreseeable future.

Long term it's hard considering most shit is CG or "in engine".

But star wars outlaws has great potential, clockwork revolution or whatever it's called looks interesting. Obviously ff7 rebirth is gonna be great. Pragmata seeems fantastic from the brief 5 second glimpse but definitely not enough to be super hyped. Not sure what else is on the horizon that really looks great though.

(I'm leaving out things we knew about before all the showcases like ff16 and Armored core)
