NSMBU Official Super Play Youtube Playlist

I guess it´s now easier to understand why Nintendo opted not to have online Multiplayer in the NSMB Series. Lag is much more crucial in this than.. let´s say in an fps. These videos just wouldn´t be possible.

NO WAY THIS IS POSSIBLE

da fuck I just watched? this is like watching the Olympics

Not one that cares about getting achievements in games, but think of the insane achievements they could have come up with for this game.

Complete _____ level without Luigi touching the ground, no holding.

they have some kind of achievements with the whole Miiverse system, but i'm not sure if it extends this far. i don't really care either but it's a missed opportunity IMO

WOW. Seriously, if one ever needed proof how absolutely incredible the level design is in these games, here you have it!

I thought everyone knew about these, as well as the sometimes equally amazing ones you could unlock in NSMB Wii.

The creativity shown is sometimes as great as the skills. The ones on the Wii had some hilarious twists (like the Luigi one!) that gave me a chuckle even as I sat there amazed that they actually pulled it off.

The thing is, both of the big 1st-party Wii U launch games (this and NintendoLand) have incredible depth if you want to push your skills to the upper echelon (DK's Crash Course being my favorite, and it's incredible to see how fast some people can complete it with tricks and unexpected skills); but that is so often overlooked.

I love the ones they do where a Yoshi eats one of the players and gets them through the level, hitting every enemy on the way for racking up 1ups.

I'd love to see someone try to do a speedrun on Balloon Trip Breeze, basically meaning you have to have the fast forward going at all times. I'm sure there are plenty of amazing players out there that could make it look easy.

This thread is seriously lacking in the gif department =P

Super Play videos were the best unlockables of last generation ... good to know that Nintendo thinks about this at least in a way =D

...but this made the NSMBWii ones VERY hard to find on youtube ... anyone knows the link of that compilation video ?

Those are some godlike runs. Stone Tower in particular. Such amazing platforming, hence the reason I gave this GOTY and bought a Wii U for it.

Here's one, with the 2 other parts of the compilation you can find in the related videos:

This could be an Olympic sport. Jesus.

I actually much prefer the Miiverse approach over achievements. Rather, I would have preferred Nintendo have gone one step further and added a more robust means of sharing screenshots and videos, similar to the rumored "Share" button on the PS4 controller.

Achievements can't even begin to match the creativity and ingenuity of fans; I'd rather see what crazy things players come up than see checklists of arbitrary challenges, but that's just me.

Das uninspired and lifeless Mario game! Now seriously, i've watched some of these with my gf läßt Werk, the Videos are absolutely Amazon and show how deep the gameplay of the nsmb Serie really is.

holy shit that autocorrect

holy shit these videos

like someone said above, the level of difficulty if you want to push yourself is INSANE in NSMBU and NL. Nintendo is the undisputed 2D-platform king. MAN. What's amazing is a 5 year old kid can beat the main game and have a huge smile on his face while some of the challenge modes would push the patience of even the best Super Meat Boy players. SMB is awesome but even some of my friends who are pretty good at games hate it because of the difficulty.

I love stuff like this, was a huge fan of the Super Play videos in NSMB Wii.

And this is one of the reasons why I'll defend the NSMB games to death, the level design is simply masterful.

I'm going to pick up a couple of these skills. Molding them into my normal play through of the game is going to be amazing. Gonna take a while though.

Yeah, this thing is insane. Its so hard to follow what the heck is going on. I wonder if any mere mortals have attempted stuff like this yet. Super Mario Club are gods...

This one is harder to grasp than giygas, I'm watching and watching again, with the fuzzys, the coins, those Toads switching, so frustrating, so good!
