What? Any source of this? The latest PC patch was supposed to remove nVidia graphics preset (as in low-medium-high-ultra-nvidia) but not the nVidia graphics effects (lie HBAO+, nVidia God Rays and so on).

Nvidia effects are still there but god rays are less "in your face".
Some will prefer that.

They announced the entire suite will (was?) be released to dx12 during the 1080ti release.
This shit barely runs on your average Nvidia GPU (inside actual game settings).
Forget about consoles, at least for the time being.

That's nice, didn't knew about that.
Perhaps not all those effect at the same quality, but having the framework available would allow developers to at least deplay some of those effects when possible.
