The more consistent frametimes in some games I can support, but 30% FPS? Nah. Not compared to a 2500k at 4.5 GHz -- at least not if you aren't already talking about >>>60 FPS.
Arma is single threaded and doesn't run anywhere near 60 fps in multiplayer
mmos like tera, wildstar or gw2 also are severely cpu bottlenecked (single digit fps on low end cpus in crowded places)
Doesn't skylake have about 30 percent higher IPC than sandy bridge? And they all overclock to 4.5ghz as well
I mean 30 percent over 5 years is really really sad performance gains to begin with
