Nvidia has operations with the switch, I like AMD.
Nah. It's not a show of maturity to encourage what is undoubtedly a monopoly in the making. No offense, but I disagree on this one. Why? Weedy personal satisfaction?
Greedy Jensen can bugger off and I am no fan of his, but we've had enough crashes to last... generations. Instead, let's be grown up about it and nurture growth and GDP, whichever industry it may come from.

I understand your opinion and respect it, but I disagree, quite adamantly, with it. Microsoft's anti consumer practices have been well documented, and I'd argue that we'd all be better off with more competition for OS's and cloud platforms, and I am of a similar opinion regarding Nvidia.Microsoft were and pretty much still are monopoly. Has the US as a whole not reaped the rewards of that? I'm not talking about antitrust or anti consumer practices, but of net benefit to GDP and America's dominant place in an increasingly tech driven world. I'm in the UK btw, but I see the reality.

They don't. That's not how the stock market works.Let's fuckin hope so. People celebrating this level of success are nuts, it's a never a good thing when one company is in possession of this level of capital.
Fair enough. In an ideal world, we'd have it that way and it would be hunky dory. But this is where it moves into a whole conversation about free markets and capitalism blah blah blah. Let's not though, I'm sure you agree. Cheers.
Trillion sounds betterThat is 5,000 Billion dollars for reference
or 5 million.... million dollars
something like that
I am ready for Quadrillion!Trillion sounds better
It's pretty scary when you think about it. I heard a third of the US economy is based around this AI spending right now with the rest in essentially a recession. If the bubble is real, and pops, it will be 2008 level of impacts. It's terrifying. The eventual crash is going to be catastrophic.

That's a lot of leather jackets.
Giant Corpos suppress smaller business and employment. It's not a good thing long term.Microsoft were and pretty much still are monopoly. Has the US as a whole not reaped the rewards of that? that was me too.I have a coworker who sold all his Nvidia stock right when the world started normalizing after covid. Not kidding.

Edit:poodaddy adds the laugh emoji even though it looks like other people have also pointed this out. Seriously, do you understand what market capitalization is? Nvidia does not have 5 trillion dollars. It's shocking to me the amount of people that think people like Bezos or Musk are walking around with hundreds of billions of dollars in cash, and that of course extends to these corporations. Please go read up on this stuff if you don't understand it.
