However, now a reliable source, Kopite7kimi has shared a brief post revealing the specs of the upcoming desktop version of Nvidia RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti. His recent reveal had detailed specs and SKUs for both the Nvidia RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti.

As per the leaker, the RTX 3050 will have GA107-350 GPU with more TGP and probably will offer either 4 GB or 8 GB of memory with initially rumored 2304 and the full silicon configuration.

As indicated by Kopite, Nvidia's RTX 3050 Ti will come along with a 3,072 CUDA core, which would possibly compete with the current Radeon RX 6600 non-XT, and will feature GA106-150 GPU, having either 6GB or 12GB memory.

Don't worry, since AMD still hasn't managed to eat into nvidias market share and save us. Our new saviors at Intel will take us to the promised land, what can possibly go wrong.

I think Intel fucked up. With this card getting ready to come out and the 6600 non XT out, I think with Intel pushing the desktop cards back into Q2 '22 gonna hurt them. But far as the 3050/50 Ti is concerned, they better make those models 8GB even though its for 1080p.

According to kopite7kimi, it's a cutdown 3060. If those core counts are true, it should be around the RX 5700 level. Which makes sense as that is where the 6600 is.

First off, kopite7kimi is a solid source and whatever he leaks is probably final hardware on the spec sheet.

But wait, the 6600 gives almost exactly the same performance as the 3060 (same as the 5600XT, not the 5700), but with 4 GB less VRAM and absolute shit ray tracing, so it's a garbage product at the same price as the 3060. Multiple sources like Anthony from LTT, Steve from GN, and HUB say the same.

How will the 3050Ti be competing against the 6600? Shouldn't it be pit against a possible Navi card that is lower than the 6600, a 6500 XT and a 6500?

The 6600 XT is realistically a 5600 XT replacement that is priced high because of the pandemic/cryptomining and is slower than the 3060 even at 1080p. But yeah, the 3050 Ti would be expected to be slower still, so would probably end up in a lower price bracket, depending on how much Nvidia thinks users value raytracing performance and DLSS. We might not see a 6500 XT, if N23 is the smallest RDNA 2 Navi AMD made.

Unless those are failed 3060's I don't know what is Nvidia doing? The silicon is so limited already, fabs can't keep up with demand.
